Breville Smart (mini) Oven $279. Not strictly a geek product but it does have a digital display and computer control : ). Fits full size pizza 320mm dia etc.

Bought after reading the reviews here. Looks like the best of the bunch.

LV Martin $279, Briscoes $299. NZ retail usually between $399 and $499.

LVMartin was $25 shipping to AK. They said any Breville agent good if warranty service required.

- I'm not sure if you clicked on the provided link, but "Bakes, roasts, grills & reheat" seems to pretty much cover what it does, if the phrase "Oven" in the thread title didn't give it away wink

If you're asking why someone would buy one - well, it does pretty much what a standard oven does, but heats quicker/uses less power, at the trade-off of having less capacity.  Good for baches, or for people in flats wanting to cook quick single meals etc.

It's like a retro microwave.

But seriously, it's a bit of a space-saver on the way to a kitchen renovation.

How's it any better than a cheap kmart one? Aren't ovens just metal boxes with elements in them?

Larger, nice finish, digital timer, digital temp control, convection, quartz elements, appropriate heat levels from each element for different tasks (vs simple bake/grill setting), preheat complete indication.
