Perhaps instead of "don't buy a tablet" people should post the reason why. Otherwise we just collect rubbish one liners that don't add any value.

Why not? They seem useful.


To big to take out with you unless you have a bag, which will also carry a laptop, to hard to use in bed, unlike a laptop, very limited situations that a tablet is more usable than a laptop, and with cheap small touch windows 8.1 laptops being about $400 now, I would (and have) gone that way.
