kendo: I sent them an email saying that we will take action against them, citing the fair trading act. Especially since people were able to go in store and buy them at this price. I encourage everyone to do the same.

What sort of action do you have in mind?

The first 5 days after the weekend are the hardest.

freitasm: The problem is that this pricing error came exactly when they had banners and ads everywhere saying "CRAZY DEALS" so no one could assume it was an error.

Cancelling the orders without even an email shows how bad comms these companies practice.

And that's it. I am more pee'd that there was no "sorry we got it wrong" email then the order being cancelled.

We may still get the 'we're sorry' email.  Long weekend and all that, those responsible for writing and approving these sorts of communications are likely not back at work until tomorrow.

The first 5 days after the weekend are the hardest.

I say we all get nerf guns and stand just outside the store and fire the nerfs at the staff :P
We will need someone on the inside however to get our nerf darts back.

Nah, it was probably just a mistake. People do make them. Some poor fellow IT shmuck is probably getting his or her head chewed over it. However, a polite email from JB to those who ordered would have been a good idea.

Was that really necessary? Have you read the previous posts?

Out of everyone that has ordered, only one or two (i think) have been cancelled.

Hopefully you haven't jeopardized everyone's order by sending a threatening email (if they were considering honouring it)

Were they? The few posts I saw about going in store mentioned that the in-store price was hundreds of dollars higher.

One guy said his mate when in and got 2 for that price.

I wonder how they managed that. If it was labeled that price in store, it definitely sounds like it was a legit price... if not, I'm surprised that the store matched the web price (the site used to say that the online and physical stores were separate, and may not always have the same prices.)

Oh ok my mistake, Sorry.

As mentioned many times previously, if it's a pricing error they can cancel and refund any funds previously taken.

I'm not sure why people are getting worked up about it.
