I was also looking at this with interest. Definitely a nice price, but was tossing this up against the 735 which can sometimes be had for a similar price... It's a tough choice IMO. My wife has the 735 and it's a nice device -  I think the 735 has a nicer form factor, better screen and better front facing camera, but the 640 gets glance (I assume), more megapixels on the rear camera (though it looks like the 735 optics may be better?) and a better battery.

It looks like the 640 doesn't have a hardware camera button (neither does the 735) - that is one very stupid design decision IMO!

I have had the 640 for a couple of weeks now, and I'm liking it. The only fault I have with it is the lack of hardware camera button - and that's only because I had a WinPho with one previously, anyone coming to it from iPhone or Android won't know any different.

Yeah, it's one thing I find very hard to live without after getting used to it on both the 720 and 920! :)

Not officially, but if you claim you are in the US she believes you despite GPS data that implies otherwise.

Not as far as I know (in fact a couple of days ago my phone region reset or something and I lost cortana) - easy enough to get around by setting region\language to australia or UK though.

So they've just lifted the description straight off an Australian site then?

Who's "they"? The warehouse? Wouldn't surprise me... or US / UK / etc. Or it was just provided to them by their supplier. Who knows.
