Hey guys,

We have some new stock -

The Chuwi Hi8 Dual boot,
the new Teclast x98 Air III
and some more Cube Talke 9x's (and some 64GB MicroSD's) (as well as cases for everything).

I have demo videos up on all the new tablets - and there is more coming in hopefully about one and a half weeks, the new Chuwi Hi8 Pro (Cherry Trail, USB-C) and the 10.1 hybrid Hi10 (Cherry Trail, 4GB of RAM,64GB eMMC, USB 3 port and a couple of USB 2s). Both look pretty swish.

I am really chuffed about the quality of everything I have, and coming in, right now.

Anyway, I'm giving Geekzone 5% off for the rest of November on everything, with the code:

GEEKZONE11

Which adds up, and what are already damned low prices. Oh, you also get 2 months free Quickflix with any tablet.

Our Store

Cheers!

Oh hey guys :)

Just thought I'd ask your preferences on form factor 10.1, 9.7 or 8 inch in a Windows tablet?

I was going to get in 10.1 hybrids and some 8 inch tablets. But the possibility of a 9.7 has come up. Sure I'll make my mind up somehow, but might make an interesting discussion too!

9.7 - 10.1. Same thing really. More concerned about the bulk around the screen and resolution than the size of the image on it.

By bulk you mean too much bevelling?

I tend to agree that with a tablet, screen brightness, colour reproduction, crispness, blackness of the black, viewing angle are all very important - the screen is a key feature.

Bevelling I have never been worried about too much. Although the reduced bevelling I have seen on a 9.7 inch made a dramatic difference to how portable/weildy it was. So I can see where it can be very important.

I have noticed a lot of people prefer the 9-10 inch size over everything else. Two handed, maybe hybrid. Probably more the ipad style of use.

There again, hybrids come atm with larger price tags, they might be more popular otherwise.

Cheers, for your contribution man :)

I wanted to announce a bit of an issue here. Chuwi are apparently fixing up some last minute touch screen driver issues, before sending out their cherry trail models.

So that may mean I will have to wait on the Hi10 and Hi8 pro, and get something else in. Hard to tell how long it will be. Shame, as I have been looking forward to both those models, but there's still a chance they will be released this week.

The air III has been cookie jar popular, so will be definitely be more of those.

And perhaps some of the teclast x98 plus cherry trail if the chuwi's don't come through. It's 4gb, cherry trail, there's a keyboard case, its retina.

Will try and order by the end of this week regardless of what happens, as I obviously want to be well stocked for december, so you guys can fill your stockings.

I've got a Hi8 Pro on order from China and they are saying up to another month but that's from an aliexpress store - YMMV sealed

I'm dealing straight with the suppliers, and I don't think anyone actually knows.

What I do know is that there was a small batch sold in china, of the hi10's and they had driver issues with the touch screen. As soon as chuwi has it sorted, I am sure they will ship to everyone including your aliexpress pre-order. Could be this week, could be as you say a month.

I've been told the 15th is the date.

Its a bit late for me, due to christmas being so close, so I'll have to get them both after the new year.

Anyway, thankfully there are some other cherry trails - the iwork 8 ultimate, the teclast x98 pro and plus. And the vi10, as far as hybrids go, is considered a sort of gold standard even though is docking keyboard case is simpler.

Okay I just wanted to mention, that I have new stock.

Two models mainly, the Teclast x80 plus - which is an 8 inch tablet, featuring the new z8300 Cherry Trail SoC.

And the Vi10 and keyboard dock - a well regarded 10.1 tablet and matching magnetic keyboard dock.

I also have some keyboard cases in a few days for the x98 Air III - (which is proving very popular).

The Chuwi Hi8 pro and Hi10 will be in sometime in January.

Also if anyone has any suggestions for good models of cheaper western tablets, I hope to get some in early next year, so I am all ears :)
