tomgeeknz:
Just received this email, so all is not lost:

Last night during our Cyber Monday online sale, we experienced technical problems with our website as a result of a malicious attack on our servers. If you visited our site during the sale, you may not have been able to browse the site properly, or place an order. We realise that this has caused inconvenience and frustration, and we sincerely apologise.

In preparation for this event, we significantly increased our server resources - The total capacity was 20 times more than last year - but even this wasn't enough to prevent the issues we experienced. We're taking this to heart, and promise to be better prepared next year - But more importantly, here's what we are going to do to put things right with you, our loyal customers:

The Cyber Monday sale will be extended for the rest of Monday 16th November, and the whole of Tuesday 17th November, until 11:59PM.

During this extended sale period, you can browse our Cyber Monday deals on this page, and order online: http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?p=cyber-monday
The PB Tech Team

Great to see they are extending the sale because of the issues with their site, but doesnt this somewhat give off a compelling reasoning for a repeat next big sale?..

It seems if you go to check out and then cancel it because of that verified by visa crap, it will end up with things still in your card, but wont let you buy because they are listed as being in someone elses cart. Seems a huge oversight on their part to have that happen.

yup great the sale has been extended and is instore as well.  I'm going to go in store today to avoid the 2.5% CC payment, and yeah no way in hell I would ever use POLI, thats just stupid.

anyone know why some items show the stock quantities at each store while others just say in stock?

ones that just say in stock also say

BRANCH PICK UPS

For branch pick ups, allow 4 hours for the branch to prepare your online order or just buy in-store.

The ones that were online only for the price didnt seem to give the stock at each branch. I would expect that to change now they are letting you buy in store, but who knows.

tripp: I think i have lost $80

Placed order got up to payment, check my balance on my credit card, enter in info press pay, get charged (my balance goes down on my internet banking), pbtech website errors out, no order info and it puts me back to my cart where it wants me to check out again.

I had this and paid via POLI however I called them and they confirmed that my order will be processed and has been received. Hopefully you find the same.

Bought a Macbook to pick up at the post shop, not it shows "Out for delivery". This is getting confusing.

The courier delivers it to the post shop, and hands over at the counter where they (should) scan it and it will update to something else.

All my orders are still sitting on picking.

I hope they arent going to group them all together, I made seperate orders specifically to avoid waiting on some things that only had branch stock.

I had a couple of deliveries yesterday, including one which is still showing as Picking. Unfortunately it was the same delivery twice, they'd doubled up the order.
