zhuyan: It's for grab now!!!  The white one 32GB is $199; I just grabbed one! :)

Brought one for me, one for the wife.

Received this today.

"We wanted to let you know that we have shipped your items. We've combined 2 "Motorola Nexus 6 Unlocked..." from your orders together in the same package. "

Gee, thanks Amazon :-(

To think, I didn't get the 64GB one to avoid import duty...

You probably would have got nailed anyway... and paid more for shipping. You needed to have different shipping addresses if you wanted to fly under the radar...

Surely he could have shipped his wife's phone with her name as the receiver? Duty is per-person right?

Spoke to soon. I think you're right. Though if he'd done that surely Amazon wouldn't have combined them, even though the same "address"?

The delivery address was youshop due to having to route it through there, therefore, I had to use the details for the freight forwarding company. Perhaps I could have used a different receiver name as well as my own name with youshop, but, I was under time pressure to order before they ran out. Plan was to, from youshop, ship one to me, and one to my wife (different addresses).

Learning's for the future - If you mark one of them as a gift, that should prevent consolidation of multiple orders.

Edit - If only youshop offered an unconsolidation service...

Why?
2 x youshop shipping < youshop shipping + gst + customs levy.

Can specify an address and recipient for each parcel separately and pay for them some time apart.

I'm not really sure how long this runs for but to anyone after a reliable US proxy/VPN to the US check this LEB deal. US$10/year for:

256MB RAM
2 CPU cores
3GB SSD
30 Mbps uplink

This is basically perfect for a Nutflix/HUHU/Amazin/iTwoones tunnel and the network they are hosted on has direct peering to most of those services.

I have had shipito seperate out items into other parcels when I wanted some things in a hurry compared to others before. Perhaps get youshop to send to them or one of the other more helpful reshippers?

This is cheap for 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 Desktop RAM:

http://www.newegg.com/global/nz/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820178869

Price: NZ$113

This amount avoids US/NZ Taxes, shipping is a bit steep though

Silver or black?

I've ordered silver with link strap, $320 on special with a further 15% off. All up $127 USD off.

Man that's tempting, but I have bought enough toys for right now. I've love to see one in person!
