Looks like Harvey Norman has got a decent deal on these bookshelf speakers which has a good review from what hifi. I picked up a black pair today and I'm really pleased with them for the price

I hope Warfedale has improved over the last couple of years.

I bought some Diamond series one's a few years ago with the Kevlar woofers, 6 ohm that can be bi-amped. I noticed a year down the track I thought I had a noisy amp and after doing a frequency sweep found not so nice distortion in the cross-overs in them. The speakers themselves are good, but the cross-overs at the time were not so flash.

To be fair, there are some veeeeery basic Wharfedale's out there (Crystal / Vardus etc) that don't do the brand any favours.

Then there's their 4ohm satellites that cause entry level amps (that they're often sold with) to cut out.

The further you go up the chain, the better they get.

Whether the 220's on special stack up against other offerings, that's for the listener to decide.
