UA65KS9000 (or 9500 for curve) for less than 3700 in Harvey Norman, that is a extremely good price.

Apparently the pricing is only until Monday and they promise Boxing day refund if any lower. (they don't think this model will be lower at all. )

I'm interested. Don't really want to take the extended warranty. But will CGA cover the TV for 5 years?

I'm more surprised with how much the price of 4K TV's have dropped over this year alone - for example, this 55" Samsung curved 4K Smart LED (Here).

In regards to extended warranties I would just go with the CGA alone. Retailers are pretty good these days with them from experience. Parents had a Sony 46" TV that went cactus (backlight failed) and Smiths City replaced it with a 55" Samsung 1080p 3D LED TV after it was deemed the Sony TV was too expensive to repair - their TV was 4 years old when it failed.

FYI there is another thread about this as well from a few hours ago

If I was going to go and drop that much money on a TV I'd just spend the extra and get something decent. Harvey Norman have the LG B6 55" OLED for $5499 at present ($6249 at Noel Leeming) and it was hinted to me they're very negotiable on that price. If you could get another few hundred off it would make a far better investment if you do watch TV a lot. You go from an average panel to the best panel on the market.

Great panel but 55 is tiny. Id like to get a 70 or 75" x940d or ks9800 or dx900.

Surely a curved tv creates a narrower prime viewing spot?

Side on must look stupid.

Yes and yes, but why watch your tv from the side?
