About $200 off 8TB backup drive https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/HDDSEA3280/Seagate-8TB-Backup-Plus-Desk-Hub

Well, $120 off anyway.

Although interestingly (or maybe not) that only $8.25 more than Amazons price (299 vs 290.75). Though PB's price doesn't include shipping, so maybe its not so interesting after all.

Free shipping on orders over $100 for PB's Cyber Monday Sale, I believe

*Am not, of course, in any way shape or form, physical or spiritual, comparing you to the Dark Lord, this is merely an allusion to me having 11 (yes 11) external HDD's plugged in to the PC and still lusting after another one.

That is quite interesting. I'd prefer to buy from Amazon anyway.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Amazon's Black Friday is coming and I think they will have much better price(take the 8gb ext hard drive from above, their regular price beat's pbtech's onsale price). The only downside will be to wait for 2 weeks shipping time and you will have to pay tax if order gets close to NZD400.

Also the Chinese 11-Nov and 18-Jun are good times for shopping especially jd.com now ships to NZ plus English interface on their website, the shipping price is also very cheap compare to Youshop. I bought almost 5kg stuff 2 days ago and the shipping is CNY204. For digital codes you can try tmall.com, I got Office365 Family 3 years for CNY525(the Chinese region O365 come with any language but does not include Skype minutes)

Free shipping is good, and am tempted to get that HDD from them. Usually get from Amazon as well, but local supplier / local guarantee / local power supply does have its pluses. Have been buying a few bits recently though, and its adds up, so I'll quite probably end up delaying and delaying and then trying to order and in the meantime they've run out of stock...but then, like you say, there's always Black Friday.

Hmm, seems the TH-55EX600Z for $1288 has disappeared off their sale.

Hatch:

Does anyone want to go halves in a 5 pack? Well not quite halves. I'd be happy to take 3 and split off the remaining 2 licenses to another GZer for cost price.

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/OFFMST1001/Microsoft-Office-365-Home-for-5-PCsMacs--5-tablets

The five license pack is administered by one user who assigns four other users to install Office. The administrator can remove the privilege just as easily so, AFAIK, there is no easy way to share them unless you can trust the administrator.

Might be worth delaying for a while if you're not in a rush, price has dropped into double figures before now...

I was looking at the iphone 8 plus (silver) but was not sure and its only $61 savings, so it was a lot of money for a "not sure how i feel about this"

Ended up with my office personal and a magnetic phone mount.

Acknowledging that Microsoft Surfaces very rarely have more than 10% discount, I grabbed the i5 4GB 2017 Surface Pro Bundle (Pen+Keyboard/Cover) for $1520 = little more than the best price I've seen the bare unit.

Best price I could get for the lesser version (Core M3) + keyboard (but not pen) was NZD$1050 from the US.
And then needed to buy the extended warranty from Microsoft (NZD$249) to get the warranty transferred from the US to NZ.

My order of the Spigen car phone holder was $9.99 so didn't get the free shipping until I added a $3 cable to it. Shipping was $5. Win!
