At harvey norman for 600 dollars I know nothing about the brand.

I bought a 4K 40" Konic early this year, for $498, it stopped working after 3 weeks. I was told that Konic 'no longer existed', so they were on clearance for $360 at the time I returned it for a refund.

 

Would be interested in the failure rate, but it did come with a 3 year warranty, so might be worth the risk to some. It was a beautiful picture, I'll say that...

Why would anyone buy a 4K tv that doesn't have HDR?

Because it doesnt add much when youre not watching 4k content, whereas the smaller pixels make a larger screen much more bareable. Perhaps if sky start to do sports in HDR then it will matter to more people?
