Lol - I'm going nuts too, this is great!

premiumtouring:

neveR:

hmm strange, yes it does show on that...

Will continue looking for things that I actually want..

Depends on the address you're shipping to. Which city do you live in?

Pro tip is to keep one item guaranteed to always take you over the $100 threshold and that qualifies for the free shipping in your cart. Always add other items to that cart, if an item doesn't qualify it splits the order and shows you a cost on the non-qualified item while showing free for the item that qualifies. When you're ready to order, move the qualifying item (if you've already bought it) to your saved list for later.

I've ordered:

2 x Office Chairs

1 x Office Chair Arms

1 x Telescope

1 x BBQ Smoker

5 x Cast Iron Skillets (various)

Multiple SD cards and USB sticks.

Almost bough a drafting table.

Someone on Cheapies bought a portable massage table.

Thrill of the hunt!

I have a feeling free shipping has been ended. Something ordered under free shipping a few days ago no longer qualifies.

The app still has a promo banner showing for free shipping to NZ for orders above US$75

The promo may be mistakenly displayed.

I checked 3 products that had free shipping several days ago, none of them have it now.

Unless someone else can see anything that still qualifies for free shipping?

So what will people do if Customs have an issue with the 'free' shipping value and rightfully try to charge people the correct Duty they should be paying in these cases?

Don't worry, they won't try to change the shipping price to something it isn't.

It would be like the tax department trying to say that you sell your product too cheaply and they will assess you for what they think your product is worth.

Why would you even think such a thing?

I've been having a further play too. Item eligibility has definitely reduced (at least for me, shipping to Wellington). I made an order of assorted stuff a few days ago, got free shipping, and it has been dispatched. Put together the same order today, one of the items is no longer eligible and requires payment to ship.

The object of today's impulse buying was cast iron cookware. I really want a decent large griddle. Threw in a dutch over too (the power of Geekzone suggestion) but no free shipping.

Eventually found a "search items eligible for free shipping to NZ" link (https://www.amazon.com/l/ref=sr_hi_1/17881530011) but even stuff that turns up via that (e.g. dutch oven) don't seem to be eligible by the time you hit the checkout.

You just have to hunt a bit.. only about 1:20 of the items are free to ship.

Best thing is that they are currently not adding on all the fees, duties, GST's, customs whatnot, as per:

Customs can still ping you for them anyway.

I certainly did not state otherwise.

Makes me laugh though, over on CC'ies, people ordering table tennis tables, giant smokers, BBQ's & massage tables.

Have to watch Amazon also. I was buying an Android Watch on special, but found that Amazon stated they use the original price on their customs declaration, which would have taken me over the GST limit.

Shipped by YouShop and got to set my own value for customs, which is the price I actually paid.

The receipt inside my package shows free shipping.

But, there is no customs declaration on the outside.  . . i think it is electronic only so no physical declaration on the package, or it gets ripped off by customs?

Just be aware everyone; I ordered an item with free postage. Had payment request this morning for the agreed price (cost of item with free postage)

Amazon then added postage onto my order when they billed me.

I am currently with chat in order to get this resolved.

Was that for your new table tennis table?
