Even 35 minutes after the site opened (and about 34 minutes after everything good seems sold out!) some items are still falling out of shopping baskets - just picked up my wife a MiBand 3, which is perfect timing as her MiBand 2 literally stopped counting steps 15 minutes ago!

So I ended up placing my order. And now it's asking me to Authorize my credit card to complete my order?

I already purchased some stuff online yesterday so I can't see the exact amount they charged me to authorise, so I have to call up my bank?

I've never even heard of this type of thing before. What gives ...

@WolfChop Just log into your Online Banking and give the exact amount they charged... Simple. It does indeed save on fraud (trust me, I work for a bank).

Just did this with my Kiwibank credit card and took 1min to verify. Not really a biggie.

Also - Managed to score a security camera, $5 battery bank and a Mi Vacuum Cleaner in the end. That is me done, SO told me no to the scooter...

My Order status has gone from "confirming" to "awaiting goods"

I'm sure this is something I experienced with PB Tech the first time I used a credit card (certainly had it with other shops, eg Computer Lounge?).

Luckily many banks do provide for transactions to show up immediately - I was able to see the amount on the phone app so it was a painless check, but I get your frustration!

I made some purchases online yesterday and they haven't been fully processed yet, and so my available balance is mixed in with yesterday's purchases and my Mi purchases right now - I'm unable to know the exact amount Mi charged me.

I'm on the phone with my bank now.

Its always been there straight away for me when PB have charged things and want the exact amount?

Better than some of the other crap systems like retailers asking you to send a photo of the card over email which I have been asked for before, or for the BS verifed by visa turd thing.

Im not seeing enough of a sale for me to want to potentially have to carry a purchase for a month due to it being the high expenditure time of the year to go thru it but I am assuming its the same as the standard PB checkout?

Just as well I wasn't able to get a scooter. It's spec states it's recommended for ages 16 to 50. Thanks so much Xiaomi, for reminding me that 59 is over the hill, even if I don't feel that old.  frown

Tivo upgrades to operate with the new OzTivo EPG, support and service. Over 300 performed here so far. See: www.hillcrest.net.nz

Just received my online order from Xiaomi. The estimated time of arrival was this Friday but it seems like they immediately shipped it over the weekend, as there were overnight labels on the packages. Good stuff.

Same here... pretty impressive and did not expect that based on the experience on the website (slow and buggy, most likely because of high traffic at opening time)
