premiumtouring:

billgates: Scored the Dewalt for $254 @ Bunnings this morning. Bought 2. It was cheaper to buy 2 packs for the extra battery and charger. Will flick off the skin only drill and impact driver and keep the spare battery and spare charger.

Nice work!

Just a heads up.. went to Bunnings this morning to get them to price beat Mitre 10's price of $299.

Bunnings said their internal system is now showing the new price as $295 now and wouldn't beat it.  I told them the website still shows price as $345, but they didn't honour the deal.  I asked them for a proof of the price so i could use it at Mitre 10. They printed me a "quotation" and said they can call them too to confirm the price is $295.

Went down to Mitre 10, and with a little effort with them doing their checks etc, they honoured their price beat.  I got 2 for $501.50.  There is a limit of 2 per customer.

Nice work @newb

It would be interesting if Mitre10 now drops their price to beat Bunnings and advertises it and then another geekzone member will go to Bunnings to get it even cheaper. let's see what the lowest price can someone buy the DeWalt set for today.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Thanks.  It was your post that got me to drive down and grab them..  so thank you for sharing =)

The checkout teller at Mitre 10 said they don't beat prices on holidays, i.e. black friday as it was already on special.  They also said they don't match "quotes".  I had to talk to the lady at the customer service desk to try and get them to beat it.  I told them Bunnings internal system had the new price of $295 but it wasn't updated on their website yet.  They rang Bunnings to confirm, and I didn't have any problems from there.

True, only 20% off those, and nothing off TV series. Still...

Was trying for the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless M2 at $198 at Mighty Ape.
They've now sold out, but for a while today they changed their price back to $499 or so.
Next best is $299 at PBTech now.
