I signed up for a free month to check out the content and was impressed. I won't subscribe after the trial though because Netflix meets my TV needs (and has movies) and no Roku app makes laptop/tablet viewing necessary.

But best of luck though, I really think it's a great addition and I have been recommending it to friends and colleagues who are nervous about signing up to Netflix, i.e. due to changing router settings, US address etc...

I enjoyed the beta, especially when the stutter 'problem' got resolved. I've just signed up and am looking forward to 30 days free - in fact I've just finished watching the episode of season one of Vikings - great show. Superb quality and almost (but not quite) stutter free. There was the odd panning shot where it occurred but it was very minor and I was specifically watching for it otherwise I don't think I would have noticed. I currently subscribe to Netflix (gave Hulu+ the flick recently because of the ads) but also intend to subscribe to this service as it can only get better.

Edit: also like that the control bar disappears no matter where the mouse is and the mouse disappears too :-)

Lightbox:
defragger: Anyone having trouble with Silverlight not working/crashing?

Can't seem to get mine going in all browsers, even with a couple of reinstalls of the plugin. iPad is out of the question as well because it is jailbroken and Lightbox wont work on this. Was the only way to speed up my ageing tablet after making the mistake of updating to iOS7 i.e tweaking animations and timings, make Chrome respond quicker, oh and installing f.lux.

Maybe it just isn't meant to be.

Hi defragger,

Here's a good site for advanced Silverlight troubleshooting:

Figured it out. Can't have my GPU drivers patched for running my monitor overclocked (QNIX 2710, running at 96hz). Guess Silverlight doesn't like that.

Is there a vsync setting you can play with? Going back to the old days when an enabled vsync could halve the frame rate in games

Cool.

Probably not an issue I'll add to our FAQs, though.

Not really. It's fine, I can live without the higher refresh rate for now.  :)

Haha yeah, definitely not something your average customer will experience. Glad it was a relatively quick workaround once I thought about it a bit more.

Not a solution for me though. My flat screen only runs at 60Hz.
On my Win7 PC coreclr.dll keeps on crashing.

Does anyone else find it odd that the reality tv shows are missing big chunks? Looked at various shows this category and most are single seasons with a small handful of episodes some are only the middle episodes of a season and then missing the rest. Why is it like this?

PC: 3.3ghz Core i5-2500, 8gb DDR3, ATI Radeon 5850, 27" QHD IPS Monitor

Mobile Phone: iPhone 5 32gb Graphite.

We're still uploading shows - not everything was ready for our launch. For shows that don't have a story arc as such (e.g. reality stuff), we've decided to  put partial shows up there, as people can enjoy those even if some episodes are missing.

The X Files S1Ep20 is missing.

Warehouse 13 is gone completely.

The Dresden Files is now gone completely after I pointed out the first episode was missing.

Need more sci-fi please :-)

I'm tempted to try this out but I hate giving my credit card details and having to opt out later.

Watched Sherlock last night on the big screen. Man it was amazing, great program and really good quality, no buffering problems.

Just wish that Season 2 and 3 were uploaded so we can watch them all :(

It could do with a dedicated PC app or media centre plug in as the website is a bit clunky, usable but not ideal when you compare it to other products.

Can we please get an update on the device logging issue from Lightbox? As with others I see multiple devices called "PC Computer" in my device list, yet have only accessed Lightbox from one computer. Obviously it's not the device itself that you log. This seriously needs to be looked at. Even non-geek households have multiple devices so you're going to get hit with a barrage of complaints as new users come on board.

Wouldn't be a problem if the 1 item deletion per 30 day limit didn't exist.
