Works perfect on Snap! adsl2.

My only question is: Will there be TV support for SmartTV's? I love my Netflix app on my TV.

We'll be adding more devices to our line up pretty quickly, with particular focus on big screen devices to get our great content onto you TV.

What's the make and model of your TV?

BigHammer: Nothing in the inbox or in the junk folder, my invite must also still be enroute! wink

Looking forward to an opportunity to take this for a test drive, especially seeing the list of shows in the initial offering. A good start anyway.

Ditto.

How far away is launch? I have a short attention span when waiting bored and something newer and shinier will be along soon... :P

Ok found 2 bugs already

1) I was able to by passing the credit card part and still have an active sub

2) when sending to airplay if you turn the screen off on your ipad the stream stops, you have to leave the screen on which just drains the battery.

A beta launch of the service was also announced today. A selection of New Zealanders will now be invited to trial Lightbox and watch some great TV, ahead of an expected full launch toward the end of August.

1) Pretty sure we've got that one logged already, but I'd be pretty eager to get some details if you're willing to share?

2) It's in our backlog. I agree that it's a nicer experience to persist it.

Please do keep me posted on anything you come across...

Are you experiencing heavy load at the moment? Can't seem to play anything now...

Also, when using IE11 the warning for mixed content comes up when trying to play a show.

Actually it seems only Boston Legal S1E1 - I stopped on my laptop and went to the lounge to play via the HTPC and it's spinning on Loading Video. Tried other episodes and it worked.

Is it in any way possible for you to change how device restrictions work do it works more like Netflix?

The way Netflix does it is by not bothering to register the device but to monitor the number of simultaneous streams from the account.

TThat would be a better solution and way way smoother for the viewer, I hate services that require per device registration then require me to wait 30 days to change it.

Until you change your policy I'll be sticking with Netflix.

Netflix has device limits, it's a general requirement from content providers.

Their device limit is based on active streams, if you know otherwise then please point me to the correct information because according to Netflix they don't have a strict device limit, they have a limit on how many devices can stream content simultaneously which is different to your policy.

II have used Netflix on more than 5 devices and I've never had to deal with device registration and deregistration.

Yeah, looks like we just a spike in start up times. We'll get the tech boys looking at that. The load on the platform shouldn't really be a factor at the current scale, though.

We're trying to clear out the IE11 warning, it's not pretty.

Any idea when Android tablet streaming will be available, and for other Android based streamers such as the Funai TB600FX2.
Also Chromecast. The reason I ask that if you want to sell Lightbox to other than Geekzone (highly technically PC using competent people) then an App for Android is essential.
Good launch by the way, enough material to see the possible range.

In the beta and impressed so far, particularly with the content!

One minor bug / annoyance - when using dual monitors on a PC and expanding the stream to full screen on one, it re-sets to non-full screen when you click on the other monitor (using Chrome).

Silverlight means no ability to cast a tab over Chromecast to a TV which is a real pity for those without Apple TV. +1 for moving Chromecast to the top of the other devices to support.
