Thinking about making an internet usage web app to easily track my daily/weekly/etc usage, does anyone know if there is an API around?

I had a quick look and didn't see anything on their site or here.

Or even any Chrome/Firefox extension that supports Now.

No published API sorry. There is a customer portal that offers upload and download usage broken down into a daily graph.

Can you get stats from your modem / router? Maybe use SNMP to collect the data?

Hmm good point, though I think there is no way to see just internet usage, pretty sure it only returns all network traffic :(

Will have a look into it.

Yeah so looked into SNMP, and while my router does support this, it's well... not as "Simple" as the acronym implies :P

I bailed on the SNMP idea and ended up just taking the numbers from the Now portal page.

For those interested here is the (for now) finished web app.

Basically, all it does is calculate how much data you've used and how much you can use per day without going over your cap, and there is a nice 15-hour daily usage history graph.

If there is interest I can post it up on Github.
