I have 100 Mbit fibre with spark, under 24 month contract, and new house also has fibre, already installed previous owner used Now.

So, moving house, contacted Spark a couple of weeks prior to arrange the move of the connection, should be all fine? Not so much...

Day of the shift spark connection at old address goes off as expected, however no connection at new address. I give it a couple of days and still no joy so ring spark, who inform me that the old Now connection is still active.

I contacted the previous owner who confirmed that they had indeed told Now that they were shifting, and that their connection with Now was active at their new address.

After some more contacts with Spark I get the previous owner to follow up with Now about about this and after calling them she informed me that:

"They said they have a new system when people move house. Even though our account was moved they leave a now connection at the old address in case the new owners want to use now as well."

As a result of this we are STILL without internet, although Spark now tell me that it should be connected 6am this coming Monday.. a week and a half late.

Pretty damn grumpy about the whole thing and I'll never use Now as a result.

Yep well aware of that - I don't have a beef with Spark. It's Now's process screwing this up.

Surely it can't be that hard to provision on the next available port on the ONT.

Comes back to the processes used in the industry.
