Or crusaders can come down and play in the dry. They can have a 3 point headstart and go thru with a draw

Oh well that's the Aussie pretenders, who shouldn't have been in the finals anyway (stupid conference system), dealt with.
What an impact Dane Coles made. Glad to see him back.

The Brumbies could have sealed it in the first half when they butchered a try at the end of the first half. [Having said that - not sure why 2 throw ins were allowed when the hooter had sounded - should have been just a tap and go.] But good on the Canes! Boyd must have said some unprintable words at half time lol.

They put the Hurricanes under the pump for 60 minutes, I don't think that is too bad. The Hurricanes looked average in the first half.

Also glad to see Coles back. Also Christian Leliafano, what a good outcome for that young man! Again some very average reffing at times, usually favouring the Hurricanes. A number of those breakdown decisions were very.. unbalanced.

I feel completely vindicated in my assertion that last week there should have been a yellow card for the head contact given they gave one for something MUCH less serious this week.

Seriously go back and watch the replay from the previous week where its from the in front of the tackled player - Laumape did not hit his head.  The side angle makes it look like he does (because you can't see that side of the tackle), but the angle that shows the full tackle shows he clearly didnt hit his head.

There is a serious issue with giving yellow cards to falling players being tackled.  Its total rubbish that you can have a head high tackle on a player falling to the ground like this, it is not possible to change/pull out of a tackle inside 0.4 seconds.  The question is what are World rugby/SANZAR trying to achieve, less head knocks?  Is it working - No, just damaging the credibility of the game.

What other way is there with so many million teams?

My gripe is with SA having 2 automatic teams

An Eastern conference and a Western conference, like they do in NFL and MLB in America. The winners of each conference play off in the equivalent of the Superbowl.
The Hurricanes now face a trip to SA for the semi and then (if they win) back to NZ for the final. Likewise the Chiefs, who play in SA this weekend, if victorious, NZ next weekend, and then if they are still winning (and Hurricanes lose), possibly back to SA for the final.
What a shambles.

Christchurch has declared a state of emergency, at what point do they postpone the game? I can't recall it ever happening in my lifetime, but then I've not seen a state of emergency in a city that a game is supposed to be played. AMI is pretty vulnerable to flooding, with moderately heavy rain it's a slip and slide esp in the corners.

I am unsure what would happen, not even sure a postponement is in the offing, if it was cancelled the Crusaders would progress on presumes on points?

The ref was definitely not on the Hurricanes' side. Just a few mentions, but Glen Jackson effectively calling the mark for the Brumbies player when he clearly did not do it himself was one, the Barrett to Barrett "forward pass" was again not forward.. etc.
