Hopefully, I don't get my head taken off here, but am I the only one who felt the commentary on Nehe Milner Skudder was completely over the top? It was bordering on embarrassing how much they went on about him.

He's a really good player, and he has had a lot of injuries and it IS good to see him back to playing Rugby, but holy moly, you'd think the guy cured cancer!

Speaking of commentary I thought I was going to have to mute the sound in the Crusaders game but she did tone it back down. She started talking too loud like she trying to shout over the top of everyone else but it did soften down.

Interesting. It took me about 5 minutes to realize she was the main commentator. I thought she did a pretty good job. I didn't notice the loudness myself.

I like Sumo Stevenson's commentary but sometimes, I guess like all the commentators, he can talk rubbish.  He does have some priceless comments.

"he's tougher than the last kauri taken from ti takaoroa (I can't even remember it let alone spell it sorry)" About Jack Goodhue after taking 3 big hits and scoring a try anyways.

Here's the video of Moody.

2:30.

Disgraceful. 4 Weeks would have been my call on it.

Seta has been so good for the Crusaders. I was disappointed when he went to the Chiefs but was also a little surprised he came back. He is in the best form of his life I think, pity he is heading overseas.

Braydon Ennor looks like he could be something, but I don't see him having the same unstoppable force as Seta, or Nadolo.

Ennor only started playing wing last season with Canterbury ITM cup team. Before that he always played centre for school club NZ under 20s etc.

I think he is actually a centre not a winger. Modern wingers are much bigger than him.

Bridge isn't huge either, but has played well on the wing when asked to. Ennor was amazing in the Mitre10 Cup. It will be interesting to see what the wings look like for the 2019 season for the Crusaders.

Got to think Dagg has done his dash, reckon he should see if he can get a nice big pay day overseas.

Seta gone

They probably regret letting Solomon Alaimalo get away (St bedes boy)

The one that will be the superstar in the future is Leicester Faingaanuku but he is probably 2 to 3 years away yet.

It's an incredibly hard road back for Dagg now methinks. It's a damn shame that clueless tackle has him out again. It's going to make it very hard to include him in an EOY tour and harder still for RWC contention, if that was even an option. I am wondering if they are planning for Smith to be included? He is still class, but he isn't quick like he used to be. Not many 32 + year-olds go to the RWC's these days.

Giving Moody a ban is pretty weak considering the high shot in the Blues game was looked at by the TMO and there was no card at all. SANZAR needs to sort its stuff out.

So concussion has claimed another! Shane Christie has quit rugby effective immediately! It's a really sad outcome for him. Hopefully, his next chapter is fulfilling.

They are different. Look at the way the arm is held.

I get that they are different. Let me clear, Moody should have been cited, that's 100% right.

It's just that on Friday in the Blues game, making contact with the head during a tackle wasn't a cardable offence, even though it was reviewed on field.

The point is the zeal with which these rules are enforced are in no ways consistent. The Blues have conceded some very soft yellows this year.

Wow, what a weekend of Rugby!

I am exceptionally unimpressed with Owen Franks. I am a *little* surprised it met the Red Card threshold, but no doubt in my mind it was yellow. Should have been dealt with on field. I am unsure what's going on at the Crusaders but they need to knock it off right now. There is no reason to behave like that, I'd quite frankly rather they lose than win like this.

How much better do the Blues look with SBW back? Anyone who doubts his Rugby credentials should really have been paying attention both weeks.

What on EARTH was Nabura thinking!? That was one of the worst things I've seen on a Football field ever. I think they are talking 8-12 weeks range of ban, and that is completely reasonable in my view.  I am not entirely sure, however, that the Highlanders would have beaten the Waratahs even with 15 men.

The Hurricanes should have had at least one of their trys disallowed. There was one forward pass out of two consecutive passes by BB that were forward. Only one was picked up. The second led to a try. There was also a transfer at close quarters that I felt was exceptionally likely forward. Commentators made a comment about it, but quickly moved on. They didn't show any other angles of the pass.

Re AB's selection, I was super happy to see Jordan Taufua make the AB's. It's going to be a tight fight for those loosehead positions, I am glad I am not in contact sessions with Luke, Jordan and the rest of them, it's going to be brutal.

I was super happy to see Steve Hansen talking about the two props thuggery and that after a review of last season, he felt the AB's were undisciplined and it was something he wanted gone. Hopefully we can go back to the 2016 type of Rugby and flush 2017. It certainly wasn't in my opinion a good year for the AB's for many reasons.

BB's kicking is looking MUCH better, that's got to be good for us.  I am not sure his running is quite as good this year. I suspect teams have worked out how to shut him down more effectively. Same with NMS and DM.

The fact it wasn't dealt with on the field had a material impact on the game.

Also it's now just 100% OK to head-high or take out Blues players in the air. You're not going to get sent off for it. Go nuts kids. Word is Matt Duffie doesn't even want to bother contesting high kicks anymore because he knows it's open season.

It would be nice to hear such positive comments, in general, about the Hurricanes as you make about the Crusaders.

Beauden Barrett's running game has been very good this season like every other he's played in. Though if you only look at the last two or three matches then you might think that he was performing worse. And his running game is not just making breaks but often about making space for other players.

Word from who exactly? The competition in the air was reviewed and determined to be fair. Both players left the ground and were 100% focused on the ball. The collision was a consequence of the competition. The only way to mitigate the risk is to remove in the air taking of the ball, something we are unlikely to see. In your opinion how would you have resolved this situation? Why did Duffie have greater "rights" to the ball than Mataele?

I don't think it would be reasonable to assume that 100% chance of the Blues beating the Crusaders off 1 guy in the bin for 10 minutes. Possible of course, but many teams have still won despite a 1 man disadvantage for 10 minutes.
