I wonder what the weather will do in Nelson this weekend, could make for an interesting result.

Lots of big players rested and I must admit to a few nerves seeing so many relatively new faces, though I 100% agree with putting them on the park. As SH said, it's about testing and building our depth. I think if we front up in the forwards, we should be ok.  Our set peice will be key. I feel reassured having Brodie still in the starting line up.

Serious? Its Argentina, ranked just ahead of Fiji, Tonga, Georgia

sonyxperiageek: Does anybody else reckon there will be more people watching the Warriors than the ABs this weekend? :P

Last I looked it was 42% to 39% in favour of the AB's

I expect us to win, however, we are fielding one of the least experienced teams of recent times against one of the most experienced in the competition. Argentina made the finals of SR this year for the first time, beating the Chiefs at home and the Blues at home.

I wouldn't write them off completely. I expect it to be reasonably hard for 60 minutes.

Which backs up my earlier comment on the state of other international sides currently. Its pretty woeful. Any of them can beat any of them, and have

I'd say it's more a case of the AB's being ahead of the pack but the rest of the pack being reasonable close to each other. Home advantage is a real thing, counts for 5 points in most games I think.

It was a great game and I assume you didn't watch it, either side didn't play bad rugby - Argentina just played better. I enjoyed watching immensely - woeful? Nope.

Ok, fair enough, but you're setting a pretty easy bar! :-)

TAB have AB's at 1-01 and even money on a 28 points difference. If I was a betting man I'd take the 1-87 at +27.5 scoreline

It was a great game.

SA shouldn't be under estimated. Twice they came back from huge deficits to beat England at home.  England were average in the second half and the Boks were awful on defense in the first, but they were two stunning games.

For my money the Boks will be the biggest Challenge the AB's face before the end of year tour.  Ireland will be tougher, but I believe we will win, and England should be very interesting, again, I believe we will win that.

Yeah, that's more in line with expectation. Having said that, Warriors in a final is like seeing a unicorn.

There was a time when NZ, RSA, AUS, ENG were the BIG teams, and NZ was half a step above, almost all the time. We still are, but those others have dropped their level a decent amount. AUS was a tough match, RSA at home was very tough, but we always found a way, but we didnt have the 100% record we currently have and now always expect as it was tough. Shows how good we were then. Maybe we are as good now, maybe better, maybe not quite as good, its very hard to tell as the competition has dropped a level.

Just my opinion

I feel there has been a slight drop in the level in Aus and SA, but I don't think it's massive, I think the game has changed and they haven't adjusted properly. I think the big difference is how much better the AB's are at pace. How often do you see balls dropped cold by the AB's. Their core skills are without parallel AND they can do it at crazy pace.

Until SA and AUS can match them for fitness, something I keep expecting but don't see yet, the AB's will win most games.

The Northern Tour will be a big challenge for them as I believe Eddie Jones and the Ireland team will play a game that stymies our quick ruck clearances and therefore our time and space. Those games, more than the ones so far the last 18 months, will be a true grind.

But we don't have a 100% record recently, just three games back Australia beat us, last year we lost to the Lions and drew with them.
