Lol. It doesn't matter. There was contact with the head. The framework applies and there is no discretion in its application.Lol obviously the professional referees think there is.
Stay mad.

BlinkyBill:And here is the link to the framework that shows that the referee got the call right.

Neither had I, so it’s great to know.
Currently coaching 1st15 rugby in Wellington and nowhere has this been discussed. It has been ‘touch the head, it’s a card’. Fairly certain every single referee out there wouldn’t know this either……but don’t get me started of refs😀
Handle9:You're pretty clearly trolling and being a dick. Enjoy.
I think you should take some time to consider the way you disagree with people before throwing those terms around to be honest.
You were wrong, you could have, at the least, been gracious about it.

This stuff has been going on for a few days in multiple threads. There's a reason he's no longer active.
I had to shake my head this morning to read Foster having to defend the huge score we put on Tonga. If he had told the team to limit their score, then the next accusation would have been he didn't respect the opposition, or the AB's Only put x points on a weakended Tongan side. There is no winning, but the press should really not have asked the question.
I thought our debutants had pretty first good games. They weren't really tested that much, but it was still good experience for them. The wings were mostly scored on the other side, but I thought George Bridge had an excellent game in other areas.
Christies pass is quite a lot better (faster and more accurate) than Brad Webers, but for me Bryn Halls pass is really great now. The one pass in the MAB game, across the face of 3 defenders rivalled the speed and accuracy of even the best of Smiths pass, it was something to behold.
Akira Ioane may be one of those players like Ma'a Nonu, who plays better at test level than at Super Level, he looked like he was having a lot of fun out there. Was good to seen Beaden on the field again.
I am looking forward to seeing Retallick next weekend, and seeing what the 'other' team looks like.

These tests are basically opposed training runs. We'll see where we are at in the Rugby Championship and the Northern Tour.

I don't disagree about the opposed training, but to be honest, if you look at where SA was a year out from the RWC (or even 4 months out), and the fact they won it despite that, I don't think there is much accuracy in judging anything at any time :)
I can never find stats I want on ESPN, but I was keen to know how many tackles we missed last night.

Incidentally the most entertaining game of the weekend was the B&I Lions vs Gauteng Lions. It was a walkover for the B&I Lions but still fun to watch.
SA Georgia was awful.

I thought Japan Ireland was good too.

I didn't watch that one - there's only so many hours in the day to watch rugby.

Yup, I pretty much FFWD all non playing bits, takes the games down to about 30 minutes, for games that I'm not fully invested in.
