What utter nonsense... amazed you can't see how incompetent he is.
You need to calm down.

At least I deliver, clearly you don't... you don't just rate a player on stats, you rate them on a combo of stats & flair, pieces of brilliance etc.

Our general/tactical kicking from 9, 10 & 15 was awful.
I agree with you on the kicking. The problem wasn't just the kicking but the kick chase. Reece was about the only one showing any signs of energy in that regard.
Our chasing wasn't too bad... problem was too many of our box kicks travelled too far downfield, so our chasers didn't really get the opportunity to aerial challenge.
Box kicks are way overdone by all teams, and it's a low percentage kick as well, you'll get more value of getting the ball back executing box kicks in wet slippery conditions.
I think if the Black Ferns get past France in the Semi, then we *can* beat England. If we win or get parity at set piece, and our passing is fast and accurate we can use pace to get around England out wider. It's a big ask, but it's quite possible IMO.
I watched France play Fiji Whangarei. Both sides played terribly, it was shocking. It was by far the worst game of rugby I have ever paid to see. France was much better than Fiji but still lacked basic skills (e.g., draw and pass) and ability to read the game. I think the Black Ferns will make mincemeat of France. Special mention for the Fiji fans, who are super enthusiastic supporters.

Retallick gets a 2 week ban, mitigated from 6 weeks for good record, and an extra week for coaching intervention he requested that he must complete.
Will be available for England, and that's good because I think we will need him.
Was a pretty harsh call against Retallick, the bloke is 6'9'', so it's a long way for him to get down to cleanout, there was no malice by him whatsoever... the officials need to put more thought in to these type of situations, not just dish out red cards.
No surprise that Tuivasa-Sheck & Ennor were dropped for the tour matches against, Wales, Scotland & England.

It totally wasn't. It was red all day. Just because he didn't injure someone this time, doesn't mean he couldn't have ended someones career or season. He was frustrated by the Japan defense and lost his cool. He shouldn't have even tried to clean that player out, the chances were low he was going to be successful and would have been just as useful back in the defensive line, focusing on an earlier cleanout at the next ruck/breakdown.
If this was another teams player, we would be feeling like 2 weeks was pretty light.

Disagree, all he was trying to do was cleanout... if it was another teams player I'd be saying the same thing.
When these high tackle rules started they were overstrict, even if a player tackled someone around the shoulders they were pinged... but down the track have noticed at all levels a fair bit of the time a player goes high around the neck with one arm on the opposition player, but he isn't pinged, where's the consistency ?

I disagree, the rules are there for a reason and someone with Retallicks experience should be fully aware. Although there were no obvious injury that was down to luck. As Networkn rightly stated there could have been season or career ending injury and I would add to the life changing injury. There may well be invisible injury and the effects of these are accumulative.

He is welcome to clean out, it's a big part of the game, so long as he does it legally. He didn't make any attempt to wrap and made contact with the head, neck and shoulders.
It's not a secret, the players are aware of the rules. They don't even need to agree with them, they just need to abide by them, or spend time on the sidelines.
If the situation was reversed and Rettalick had been the one hit, he would want the tackling player to use correct and legal technique.

Fair point, thought he'd wrapped an arm around him, but he didn't... the Japanese player was very low on the deck though.
We all know the laws, but some of them put in place are ludicrous - take the one where the defending team gets to have a long droppie downfield from behind their goal line that allows them to take a lot of the pressure off... whereas the attacking don't get to have a scrum 5 metre out from their goal line, missing out on great opportunity to apply plenty of pressure to score a try or kick an easy 3 pointer.
