I wonder why Cam Roigard hasn't been named on the bench? I find that puzzling
He wasn't named vs Ireland in the quarters or Argentina in the semi's so its no surprise even though he's a better player than Christie IMHO.

Same. It's puzzled me the whole way along, but they obviously see something we don't. Same with Samisoni. He didn't play that well this year relative to previous years, didn't play in most of the earlier tests, with Coles and Taylor preferred, but introduced at the end of the tournament with less Rugby under his belt. I wonder if he was nursing an injury ala Reiko 2020/2021. I feel sorry for Dane Coles, but applaud Foster for what must have been an extremely difficult choice to make, if he genuinely feels ST is a better choice this week.

Looking forward to the end of the comp. Lets see if we have what it takes to get the job done.
So Foster is entirely at fault when we lose and doesn't deserve any credit when we win? SA a tough road to the final, citing Scotland and England and France, but we also played France, we had to beat Ireland, and Argentina. It's not our fault Argentina didn't perform, nor Italy. We can only play who we get matched against. We have the highest points scored and highest tries scored, and we deserve credit for that.
I find it kind of interesting that people have a problem with players out of position, when in those positions, they have played really well, and the alternative was that some of those great players wouldn't even be in the 23 if not out of position.
Ardie converted to 8 and Jordie converted to 12 (He adjusted to that considerably more quickly than another player I shall not mention) have turned out to be some of the best decisions we have made, yet, all that comes of it is criticism.
Win or Lose, Foster deserves a lot of credit for making the Final

True
It would have been extremely easy for him to toss all his toys out of the cot and quit last year, and maybe get a big payout from NZR for constructive dismissal to boot. Instead, he endured a firestorm of criticism, took an ABs team to France that very few people in NZ expected to get past the Quarter Finals, and has got them to the RWC Final.
Win or lose the Final, if nothing else it should give him great job prospects for the next few years. I hear Japan may be looking? LOL
I still can't understand why he hates Cam Roigard so much, though

He has been total class in how he has dealt with the public, press and his employer. I can't think of another who would have handled it as well. I also like how he handles the press in general. He has had the sustained support from his players, and that says a lot about a human being. He won't go down as perhaps the greatest to ever lead NZ, but he is far from the worst.
It's truly puzzling to me Roigard, but they deal with him every day and Christie too, and they see something more in Christie than I can, but they have a much closer view than I do. Roigard will have his time. Christie to me, is what Perenara was to Smith. Christie has been touted for his defence, and to give credit where it's due, he was part of one of the longest and most impressive, disciplined defensive efforts in Rugby history.
Not sure if Fozzie has some of your nudes or something?
His "record firsts" speak for themselves. Certainly winning on Sunday will put a rosier tint on his time as head coach, but there have been some straight out bizarre positionings over the last 4 years. Even your Jordie example speaks volumes. That was a hail Mary EOYT 22, not a sign of some high level 4 year development in the making, but hey - you do you.
We have won one single big game this world cup, remember that

I wondered how long it was going to be until you came up with something stupid like that.
No, I am just realistic and not unhinged when it comes to who to blame for what. I don't have an irrational hatred for a coach who has had the hardest tenure of an AB's coach going back decades, interestingly in some cases by people who complained at the end of 2018/2019 that NZ were so dominant that it was boring to watch the AB's play, and wanted the rest of the world to catch up. I am also not unable to comprehend that it's possible for the AB's to not be the best team in the world forever and that other teams can be well coached, and their players well developed and their tactics to be on-point.
It's not our fault who we play nor how much of a fight they put up.
I notice you are quick to point out all the negative firsts, but there was quite a few new records broken in a positive light during his tenure.
Record scores against Australia 3 times. Never lost a Bledisloe match, more wins in the Championship than any other coach during the same period. Record wins against Argentina multiple times. I am well aware of our negative results too, but Argentina have beaten every other nation in the world, home and away. Highest win rate of any Southern Hemisphere Coach this cycle including the World Champions. Ireland went on a 17 Match bender which we ended before they broke our 18 match run. The loss of our second test against Ireland in NZ was due to a red card and multiple yellows and still only lost by 11 points. Name another team that would have been only 11 points behind under those circumstances. We were responsible for our own discipline, but Ireland didn't get Red carded for an identical tackle on Retallick, and had they have been, would they have won that match? Things need context.
I am well aware Jordie wasn't a planned thing, it was actually due to injury call up, not a Hail Mary. He was out of position regardless and still it's worked out well. Jordan is the top try scorer, this world cup, whilst being 'out of position'.
Even as I type all of this I know it's not going to make a blind bit of difference to you, you have your mind set and nothing will change it.
I am not sure how you are going to get on next year under Robertson. He has a hell of a job ahead of him. I'm a big fan, but my expectations are low given where we will be when he comes onboard.
Appalling spectacle. Shamefully inconsistent application of the rules. Penalties awarded that were acknowledged on the field as not having been correct.
If NZ comes up against SA in the finals again we should simply refuse to play.
i stopped watching when Wayne Barnes pulled out the yellow card. at that point I knew what was going to happen. i feel sorry for those who wasted 4 years of their lives for this match. I'd prefer AI to be the ref, any sport with a referee is a waste of time. oh and i had a great 2 hours on Fortnite by the way.
A disappointing result (from my perspective) a victory of playing for penalties vs playing for tries. Congratulations to the ‘Boks. They had a gameplan and it worked.
It’s a shame though to have the occasion marred by so many cards.

I'm not blaming SA. Just noting the fact that WR seems incapable of delivering a properly officiated final between us and them. They're two from two now.
