Go watch the replay of the Ireland game again old boy. You could not be more wrong.

I think you're the one who needs to spend a bit more time watching the games, sunshine. I'm not the one saying the bunker did nothing wrong and then stamping my feet when people point out how patently incorrect that is.

You claimed that Ireland got a penalty try when Aaron Smith got a yellow card. They did not. It is very very simple.

Stop whinging. We lost.

It is what it is.

So having pointed out how ridiculous your "bunker got nothing wrong" claim is, you've just decided to go for childish insults?

Stay classy.

You didn’t point out anything valid. If you have an actual law you’d like to cite I’d be interested but all I’ve seen is tirades with no basis.

This was a few minutes before Cane was taken from the field.

Rule 9, points 11 or 13 would cover it.

Foster has mentioned he will continue coaching, I'll be interested to see where he ends up.  (I just know I am setting up for a bunch of snide comments).

It’s not debatable that SA took their chances to win and we didn’t.

Pollard kicked 4 from 4.

We missed two kicks to go ahead.

They took their chances, we didn’t.

That the ABs only gave away 4 kickable penalties is something special in itself. Mo’unga’s missed conversion or Barrett’s missed penalty was all that was the difference. Neither kick was easy. That won’t stop either of them having nightmares about it. But remember Beaver’s penalty in 2011 is what won us the cup?

I do believe the ABs need to learn to duck into tackles more.

We conceded 5 penalties in total. Our discipline overall was outstanding. Unfortunately two of them were cards.

South Africa conceded a 10 penalties and two yellow cards.

It’s meaningless unless you show the full clip. You can push off with your forearm, you can’t lead with it. Same as you can fend a defender in the face but you can’t stiff arm one.

Edit: it came up in the Bronze game as well. The forearm in that case was on Farrell but you’ve been silent on that one.

Yeh I saw him say it, I just assumed somewhere in Europe if we lose. :-)

Personally I was hoping for a more free flowing running game/team to knock the grubbery out of the final, France nearly did it. That would have been a beautiful game to watch, aB's vs France on their home turf in that glorious stadium, for me that was the match up to watch a second time but in the final. incredible Sa winning by just 1pt in each of the "finals" games. Eng beating boks would have been so nice.

at least we didnt come down with gastro the night before this time hehe ;-p

Looking forward, or back did we make the wrong call sticking with Fozzie? and is there any chance we can get Robertson back to rebuild the team for the next WC?

The Barretts must have had some of the elites and non Rugby bandwagoners confused when looking at the lineups on the big screen, two Barretts incredible, 3 Barretts? just a mistake lol. Congrats to them making a final together.

If you struggled with a simple list of incidents then I'm not sure reading the actual rules will play into your strengths, but sure, why not:

Television match official

A match organiser may appoint a television match official (TMO), who uses technological devices to clarify situations relating to:

  1. The grounding of the ball in in-goal.
  2. Touch or touch-in-goal in the act of grounding the ball or the ball being made dead.
  3. Where there is doubt as to whether a kick at goal has been successful.
  4. Where match officials believe an infringement may have occurred in the playing area leading to a try or preventing a try.
  5. Foul play, including sanctions.

Any of the match officials, including the TMO, may recommend a review by the TMO. The reviews will take place in accordance with the TMO protocol which is available at:
2022-TMO-protocol-Approved-by-Council-May-2022-v2.pdf

What do we have here:

Law 11: Knock-On or Throw Forward
▪ All Clear and Obvious knock-on or throw forward infringements within
two phases leading to a possible try

I've bolded, underlined and italicised the key bit for you to help.

Four phases.

True, but first impact whack, then push, thats the technique to go with? hehe ;-p

But yes, Im confused by the pickle Union has itself in with head highs and accidental head clashes, they said it would cost somebody in a final.

I thought the first yellow was just lazy by us.

His arm is stiff and is directly to the face of a player.

Farrell had a good complain about the one into him, and the TMO reviewed it and said it wasn't anything serious.

Crickets from the TMO this game.

It’s stiff on your picture which I assume is from reddit. What it doesn’t show was if contact was made while the arm was tucked into the body and then he pushed off which is ok. If he leads with the elbow that is different and illegal.

The TMO won’t say a thing for a legal action unless referred.

I am immensely proud of the All Blacks. Everyone wrote them off, so many people claiming we wouldn't exist the pools.

We played an incredible game against Ireland, it was our final in my view. We answered a lot of questions. Our forwards aren't inferior. We massively outscored every other team in the RWC by a huge margin and ended up conceding less tries than even SA.

If we can build from here, and improve our discipline, we are world beaters. I am hoping we find some new innovation and our up and coming players continue developing to world class ones.

This has been an incredibly challenging cycle, but to come 2 points from victory at a RWC final. We have had some horrible lows, and some great moments too.

I'll also say this: there was a huge amount of potential in that game, given the way the ABs had played to get to the final and how SA had played at Twickenham prior to the tournament.

That was the game and the final I wanted to see. There would have been no shame in being beaten by that kind of performance. It's still probably the performance of the year for any team, RWC-included. That's the thing I'm most disappointed about.

Four phases.

If this is still current for RWC then you are correct.

I’m dubious as this whole thing makes no reference to the bunker, which came into operation this year.

Typically WR doesn’t provide any transparency on this stuff. They really make it difficult to know what is current law or not for the tournament.

(Four is more than two).

If we were a little bit better from a tee, that game was ours.
