Perhaps you can explain why Lewis attracts those descriptions all over the internet? Sour grapes, or repeated poor behaviours by him? But actually dont bother

Personally, I love the fact that triumph contrasts with disappointment.  That stakes run high, along with emotions.  I'd much rather watch an entire field of James Hunts going at it tooth and nail, than a procession of automatons and corporate-speak shills.

Each to their own.

This time however the internet turns out to be true http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/hamilton-destroyed-room-after-baku-qualifying-mistake-lauda-795726/

Sounds like Lauda is not happy? Does that mean he wants to offload Lewis? Either way I don't see them both in Merc next year ... but I am not sure who wants Lewis! MacLaren?

Aren't they both on contract? Hard to say what they do about this. If Rosberg left or was fired, and the next guy was as competitive, the same will happen.

If, and its a big if, Ferrari and RBR got closer, real close, then that would magnify Lauda and Woolf. Throwing points away is one thing, but two drivers jousting that sucks the 2nd and 3rd teams into contention, thats huge.

joker97: No Rosberg off contract

Perez is my first choice. Like Vettel and Grosjean, he's gone from a regular race error driver to a top driver. I'd say he's tough enough to deal with the Lewis race antics,

and he'd probably be favoured by Toto and Niki, as Lewis has been till apparently recently. Lewis can go ahead and race only for himself, thats fine. Nico replacing Kimi, thats also a real option, and as close as you can get to a title contender. But probably nothing will happen

Never happen. Lewis wont accept being No.2, which he would be, irregardless of policy. Vettel is a true Ferrari man now. Lewis runs solo, Ferrari wouldn't accept that

Whats the closest team to Mercedes as far as friendly goes? Perhaps Merc could swap drivers for the next race for an avoidable incident.

Since lewis doesnt love f1 since its just his "job" he could fly off in his candy red jet and live in the Bahamas with Bieber and leave us all in peace.

Hes a f'ing tool. he acts as if he doesnt care about anything but winning and showing off. Most the drivers could win in that OP merc.

Ah ok. Yes, many could. Winning the title in a Merc is a slam dunk, two car race, hardly the world of champions.

I don't see him as showing off as such. His wins create an artificial super happiness. His losses caused depression. Summit ain't right. While he is a very good driver, he is not the only one, he isn't the amazing Lewis, the legend that the Brits see him as. He's had competition in recent times, and it shows.

Sounds like if Nico can just apply more pressure and turn the screw Lewis could just implode. Here's hoping Nico can hold his own. He really can do with a bit of help from Lewis's other rivals ... :)

I dont feel there is anything between them , speed wise. tension wise, all drivers are affected, some more than others, Rosberg included. he has learnt that when the pressure is of he went up a level, so he needs to do what the greats do in tennis. Play your game. Try to win, dont try to not lose. So, they can both crack, but Hamilton is delicate, so often he has made errors when under pressure.

Speed    - even

Handling Tension - edge to Rosberg, but just an edge

Engines   - Hamilton has a disadvantage here, his speed will drop a little due to that, his chances of failure will increase

I see the fight being close for now, but the engines, possible failures will count against him

Or perhaps, this simply shows the folly of believing everything you read on the Internet and crowdsourcing your opinions...

Niki Lauda backtracks on comments about Lewis Hamilton

In an extraordinary statement Mercedes moved to distance themselves and their non-executive chairman, Niki Lauda, from claims by the former world champion Lauda on Austria’s Servus television last week. The statement read: “Following his appearance on a television discussion show on Servus TV recorded prior to last weekend’s Austrian GP, Niki Lauda would like to set the record straight and state the following: ‘Lewis Hamilton did not in any way damage a hotel room or his private driver room at the circuit during the race weekend in Baku; and Lewis Hamilton did not lie about his relationship with team-mate Nico Rosberg.’ ”

"Niki regrets any misunderstanding caused by comments that have been blown wildly out of proportion..."

Correct ne if I'm wrong

So Niki just makes things up now huh? [note: this is not journalists making up stuff ... they quoted the man 100% ... the man now retracts ... apparently]

The folly is who do you believe? Its not like Lauda was mis quoted, it was a video of him saying what he said. Now he backtracks that, AKA PR steps in

We know Lauda tells it like it is, IMO he did, now that what he did say is being denied. Bizarre. We also know Lewis can be a hot head. So, is this a case of the truth being told and PR steps in? Certainly seems like it.
