If Guppy and Munro can get us off to 8-9rpo off the first 10 without losing a wicket, that brings it back to being a run a ball, which if we bat well is very possible.

My fear is their spinners, they will be around the bat early if we dont get off to a flyer, and i can see our middle order crumbling.

I really hope we can pull out a miracle innings to get us back on form. I fancy a lot of changes next home season.

For ****'s sake.... yell

Well if Taylor and Williamson both get centuries at a 90+ SR we might be back in this game. Will that happen? Do pigs fly? These are the questions. Where is the face palm emoji when you need it?

W T.... did they review for? its Plumb and he knew he didnt hit it.

Its sickening feeling like the game is already over. Perhaps Glenn Phillips, Munros Auckland Aces opening partner (Guptil also an Aces opener but usually in the national team,) should be given a go alongside Guptil.

Guppy should have said NO you are out. How Munro thought that was running down leg is crazy.

Scoreboard pressure, Id rather see us try than extend the pain. That was right in his normal slot too, just a bit early on the shot. Perhaps Guppy should have batted out of his crease there to negate the length.

Well thats pretty much it. Id still like to see us win the last one at CCH.

I dont see the point of us just blocking. We need to give it ago, nobody will blame us for losing against such a high score and losing both openers for ducks.

At some stage in the first 25 overs we need to bring that gap of 7.7rpo down to 6rpo. If we have 7.7rpo with 25 to go it just shoots up fast. So there is no point trying to chase 7.7, they need to lower it not keep up with it. Even 5 overs of 10rpo would help. and bring it down to about 6.7 rpo

Williamson needs to bat on off stump to negate this loaded offside field to open the onside, just dont miss lol.

Its still possible, If we are 40ish after 10, lets start again and lower this run rate over 25 overs by 8 RPO. Not easy at all, but necessary. if we hit 6 rpo for 30 overs the game is well gone. OR take a risk and hit 10rpo for 5 overs.

Darn that was looking promising, exactly the 8rpo i was looking for. Its do or die for Latham here. i dont think he will be selected in NZ again if he fails the next 2 games.

Munro may well have cost NZ the game with selfishness.

Lol its not just Santner droppn em, Latham got dropped 3 times the last innings, he might get another few freebies.

How he missed thats stokes ball completely says no form, now he hits it straight back to Ali. 4 dropped catches in 2 innings is a lot of luck.

IMO Latham needs to hit his way to form, not block and get out.

WASP says 8%, i reckon its more like 40%, I think we got this, we should have this.

Well Latham could have been out for next to zero for the last 2 innings but you cant say he hasnt made them pay :-)

We'll take Taylor for 180 instead of the double century eh? Excluding the openers, that is just outstanding from everyone. Unbelievable! Taylor is broken.

Thats the gutsiest innings Ive ever seen from any player.

Ross if not our greatest player of all time, certainly in the top 2.

If it is just cramp, put him in an ice bath for 3 days.

I knew once Ross and Kane got that century I thought we were well on target and was shocked we hadnt collapsed. When Williamson was robbed I thought, here we go. Then Latham got lucky twice but to his credit took his luck and ran with it. I couldnt understand wasp at 8% when we needed 7.5rpo with 15 overs and 7 wickets in hand. I thought we were cruising. In the end it ended up looking a lot tougher than I expected. Such is the quality of Woakes. He got a couple wrong though and those 2 sixes ultimately won the game.

Unless Guptill gets back to t20 form and Williamson partners with him, I cant see us repeating this effort. But we definitely need to chase as Eng can chase down pretty much anything.

Well done by our bowlers to drop 30-40 off the total, that also won the game.

Team effort by most.

Quick update on Taylor.

They are quite hopeful of him playing tomorrow, great news.

And the weather, its saying Fine with light winds. Game on.

I really expected NZ to get slaughtered 5-0 in the series so Im really proud of the team. Yes they have had issues, actually many and they keep changing, but some  how we are finding a way to compete. NZ underdog spirit at its best.

Lets go BC's !

Uggggh BAD news.

Ross out, Chapman back in (lets hope he delivers his natural talent).

Whats worse is we lost the toss and are batting first. Anything sub 360 Eng can chase down which is what they are better at.

im hopeful but really need the openers to fire, but it looks like the ball might move off the pitch on this one.
