Remember that LRPL 2018 average is 91. Guppy would never do that.

No reason why they can't bat for longer, it depends what they can get out of the T20 player leagues.

Big grounds mean big 6's, it also means losing wickets. Remember this is Sri Lanka, a currently lowly team, on our tracks. It's a long way from ICC WC in the UK. Wait till India has been here. Thats where we will see if the No.3 ranking is real.

True, but LRPL would never average 65 in T20 ;-p :-)

Bit soft there, guppy was just about to let loose, if he hadnt the whole innings.

I dont get Nichols coming in. They put Seifert in Nesham in to test them, I dont get it.

Also to be fair that average came from a few not outs, which is highly unlikely for opener like Guppy. :-)

Any good games on in the Tennis? Its a 500m walk from my Auck pad. This game is over already.

Nichols in

Lauren Davis vs Venus, and the Great Dane later. Not bad matches. 7pm and 8-15pm estimated

Fire Siefert. There is a reason why he has played for the BlackCaps before, those two hits, to a 135kph bowler on an easy batting track.

Donald, fire him.

You dont like him?

I think replace Nichols in with George Worker and that will be our T20 team, clearly Southee in probably Henry out.

I dont mind him because Im hoping by 6 we have had some runs on the board for Seifert to smash a big score every second game.

The Venus game could be worth a look, Ill check the prices.

Maybe Seifert for the T20s, Im 99% sure Tom Latham will be our keeper in the world cup.

Although melinga should have been ejected from play with 3 dangerous beamers, not allowed but Umps did nothing.

Looking at Neeshams stats they are VERY similar to Colins, 4 6s in a row, this is going to throw the cat amongst the pigeons. Make that 5 6S and 33 runs in the over. If he hits a 4 here its a world record

OMG Neesham, cya colin.

So unfair, 47 off 13, he would have had the fastest 50 record easily if he had 3 balls left.

Although what if we playing on a Green pitch, Keep Colin and play Both Colin and Jimmy, man that would be a deep batting, Southee replacing Henry at 9. BIG scores and 3 strike bowlers and 2 handy all round pace bowlers. Could work.

No comparison. Neesham looks like a batsman. Colin is in and out. Siefert looks like a player who is not at this level. Been tried before, its not working, remove him. Every shot he played he looked out of his depth. He will do well in first class, that where his skill ends.

370 is a good score, but its a score we got gifted so many runs and wickets. If we win by 100 runs thats par for me. Its a poor SL team, our score was heavily inflated by SL's woefulness in the field and bowling. We need to play a real team, so hurry up India

Colin is a spare bowler thats all, its world cup soon, we need top players not good ones

yeah its just theoretical, its always nice to have a deep batting lineup. Matt Henry can smack it and so can Southee clearly, if its spinning Sodhi can bat, just hasnt had the innings oppurtunities in ODIs. I think you need at least batting over 30 at 7.

So for me

Guptil
Munro
Williamson
Taylor
Nichols
Latham
Neesham (kpr)
Henry/Santner
Southee
Fergusson/Sodhi
Boult

I think thats deep enough and has some potential in the tail and keeps balance with our top bowlers. Henry is better than hes looking right now, Sri Lanka are going for it and unfortunately hes the one copping it and his teams dropped 2 catches on him. He has a brilliant average.

I forgot Dickwells was in the team, he can go on. So there is 3 good batsmen, but I think they will get 300 at best on a batting wicket.

I agree with that lineup. I'd like to see Munro bat down the order, he will be more lethal a few places down. He doesn't strike me as a player who will get 140, his free going play will always get him out. Against older ball, and non fresh bowlers, that suits me. Latham needs to bat 100 SR otherwise he's a liability.

SL are playing to the RR so thats something. Having luck, they won't be splitting fielders all night, they have been lucky with that.
