YOU ripper Ferguson, huge wicket of Sharma on 90ish, hes applying what is asked of him. Bowls the 151kph good line and length followed with a chest high fast one, caught 10 in from the boundary. Hes really going to be lethal by this time next year. I think he and Sodhi are certanties for the WC 11

I think India will be Timid this next 10 after the 2 big players out. Although it is Kohli.

But if we can get 2 wicket, Kohli and the Dhoni would be lovely. Could get them out under 300. Coversely Koloi could control this and 350 is still on.

OMG Ferguson misses out on a wicket but cm's.

I hope they keep some overs for the lesseer batsmen/death bowling.

yesyeysyes great catch boult. Kholi gonr, now if we really want to stop them scoring deluxe we need dhoni who is just in now and fresh. anything below 320 and Nz have done well.

India 236/2 after 39 overs Surely that’s 350?

You would have thought so right? I thought 370 after 25 overs.

Man that was lazy from Latham letting the ball for 4, last over would have been 20 and finished bang on the 320 I mentioned.

Im personally very happy with that on a batting wicket.

But can we handle their bowlers is the question.

Speaking of which, despite the last over another excellent dig by Fergusson. I think by this time next year we will have a super star 150+ bowler in our team, anywhere typically between 144 and 152 with a nice 125 slow ball. He is getting more and more accurate. Good experience for him to bowl the final over against some of of the best  Im dure he learnt a lot.

This is looking ominous too, another big double ton by guptil? This is it, these guys dont have to score 15 an over to start. Dhoni will be ruing that half chanc haha, oh man now an edge doesnt carry.

Hmmm he looked so good to start, hang in guppy

Oh man thats not guptil to play a stupid shot, if he was going hit that shot normally knowing the player is there he would have smashed it, but he just paddled it to him. He was on for a big one with all that luck catching up with him

NO NO NO not Kane to. We are jinxed, this is a belter, we should still easily hit 320 if we dont get ourselves out like the first 2 wickets

If we just cruise at 6rpo until the 40th, its just 7RPO for the last 10, easy peasy.

I have to say thats the right call on Taylor, even if it was 3mm.

We need at least 1 player to score a ton as everybody is scoring runs.

Colin you are dropped from the WC squad.

I cant believe all we have to do is cruise and someone plays shots like that.

This is a much better example than last week, on how to LOSE a game.

This is where Nicholls needs to lead the way and show its just about a run a ball. Hes there for these situations to lead the middle and tail order to a victory,

OMG again when the team needs him, Nicholls plays the worst shot of the innings. Fine the team should never have needed him. But only way he will get runs if he scores in these situations and that was just stupid. 8RPO for 20 overs is nothing.

Bracewell showing Nicholls how its done, if he only had more than Sodhi and Boult left to play with, we could still make it from here

We lost a game that was way way way too easy to win, India arent doing anything but catching our stupid shots or bowling us while playing stupid shots.

Doug Bracewell top corer 57 off 46. averages just over 10 showing Nicholls, Latham Taylor how to recover a top order crash.

Flappn useless from NZ, now Bracewell will be in the WC squad and possibly not Santner. I think they will still take Santner unless they choose Patel as the other spinner but he cant bat.

If one our batsmen in top 7 got passed 80, likelyhood NZ would win. I cant think of a single wicket which India fooled us aside from maybe Sodhis, but speaking top 7, SHAME ON YOU. Thats the core of our team pretty much, outside maybe Neesham. What a disgrace. Couldnt have beaten the UAE today.

CdG yes, has to be gone. he can't bat at this level, we dont want another every now and then he gets a good score to keep him in the team. He cant bowl. Part time bowlers get wickets by the batters going after them, not the bowling skill

Bracewell did well. As the rest were ALL well beaten, the only conclusion is that it wasn't a bad day at the office, or bad luck, or bad play, the opposition is too strong.

All we can do is evaluate where they are out bowling and out batting us and try to adapt. Maybe improve bowling and field placement a little. But the issue is our batting. We clearly need to be more circumspect, and bat for time, bat the 50, take what we can, and make wickets more important than the score. It seems if we keep to the score we are bowled out well short. If we retain wickets at the expense of runs we can evacuate what to do at 25 overs, and so on.

The positive is that each day we are exposed to better bowing and better bating we will improve. I still feel the easy trip through SL was no help to us. Thats showed towards the end as it got harder.

Neesham and Bracewell need to be in WC, and make that call now. Guppy is my problem, while he is a performer he can go out at any time. Perhaps he needs a proper opener, Munro started as the real deal, it didnt work out, fire him. Latham has matured a lot, he isn't the 30RR guy any more, get him back to opening.

Neesham can bowl and bat, so can Bracewell. We have a keeper batsman. Bowlers are good, plus Kane, Ross and Guppy. The team is there

Its bizarre seeing the improvement in Bracewells batting. Hes not a middle order player by any means, but as a tail ender hes handy. Like a Southee that puts effort into his batting. How bowling I still find suspect, but his trials so far hes been ok.

Yes thats not a bad idea with Latham replacing Munro and maybe move Munro down the order to where the ball doesnt move as much. Guppy like almost ever wicket last night played a terrible shot, normally he would have smashed that, he middled it and just a touch it went to the boundary, so why did he not give it a bit of heave, just a brain fart. But the whole team nearly brain farted their wickets away, I honestly believe we are beating ourselves not India beating us. Sharmi was good in the first innings but no Ind  bowler was great yesterday, nothing beyond what we can handle. We just threw our wickets away.

I hope they got a rocket up them for it. It was disgraceful all out only needing 9 an over to win from 10 overs.

i really cannot agree. When you play sport, especially singles sport, you improve when you play better opponents. You stagnate against equals or lesser opponents. We played Sri Lanka forever, a poor side. The coach commented how well we played, FIRE HIM. Off course we played well, they are rubbish we are good. They are poor, rebuilding. Now we go back to a normal side, but its No.2 side, who are probably actually No.1. If a few of us were silly, that's one thing, but we all failed, apart from Bracewell. So we are not at fault, we were beaten by a better team in all respects.

This series we will be done like a dinner. Mainly due to SL softening us up. But at the end of this hammering, we will know a lot more.

Fire Gary Stead if he wants to compare our SL results to India. he is a VERY poor coach.

We have the talent. We need to manage the game, their bowling, and our batting.
