This. We need a wicket now.
Yeah, they are ticking it over, we need to throw the bowlers at them, as the required run rate probably wont blow out much

Cross fingers, its now runs not wickets. 38 from 20
What BS. whatever haopens
Taylor wasn't out. The ENG guy was out, two wrong decisions. Then Stokes gets rewarded for the ball hitting his bat when he ran

BS result, thanks refs. X 2. Thanks Stokes for the accident.

Would have thought it would be a dead ball after hitting a bat
You would have thought so. And two incorrect ref decisions. As far as Im concerned its BS. Choose any other sport and they check the third umpire for the correct result. Not in cricket.
Why the hell would you send Guptil out after the tournament he's had.
Words fail me. He picked out the shortest fielder on that side and hit it directly to him.

Id have chosen CdeG
In any case the damage was done before. Bit hard to win when every viewer sees the replay but lets not go by that

We have Neesham for power. He delivered. They needed someone like Taylor or Williamson who can play to gaps.

Frustrating, but as you said yourself, it's just a game. The rules are the rules and that's what everyone has to play to. Umpires get it wrong, they're human beings but I think in general they do a pretty good job. Sometimes that goes your way, sometimes it doesn't. Guptill made the mistake of reviewing when he was clearly LBW, if he hadn't, Taylor could have reviewed.
After I was born, I didn't talk to my parents for two years.

This went our way previously, so I can live with it.
I can't live with the wrong call being made in the first place; there's an expectation that Guptil or the player at the other end know better than the umpire for things like LBW, despite neither of them being positioned exactly in the right place to make that call like they are.
For the Taylor call to be so wrong is just inexcusable, but lots of teams have worn sub-par decisions in this world cup. Doesn't mean we should be OK with it; unfortunately a lot of this kind of thing will be lost to the ages with England winning.

True but the third umpire system is a joke. Odd how the one umpire thats awesome went against us. You sorta gave to wonder as you can manipulate the official decision if its based on umpires call, not accuracy. Id like to see that in grand slam tennis. How can you have a rule that says if the umpire gets it wrong we will stick with that. Never in any other sport. And in other sports that "6" would be a dead ball.

The commentators mentioned a few times, the number of past captains and celebs that were there (for the expected win), makes you wonder how massaged this was. But yes, it will be like the massive forward pass in the Rugby World Cup quarters vs France, its PC to gloss over that
