I took some photos at the Super Smash final yesterday and posted them in the Digital Imaging forum if anyone is interested.

Nice one mate. You are using a Canon? Prob the Blundell action shot from behind the best for me.

Nicholls needs to pull finger, hes done all the hard work, players all around him he plays with a strong grip which got the edge to carry. Cant be playing for Stumps.

NZ really needed him to go on, they need 400 to make this a 90/10 likely win. At this stage India are not out of it yet. Not much in the batting left, Jameson isnt the worst tail ender, but this is very much a team that is relying on its top order, which aside from Williamson and Taylor with a 44, they werent too good, when we were looking likely to be only 2 down at Stumps how those 2 were seeing the ball. Latham was very unlucky. Blundell did an openers job and scored some runs but needed to go on with it, but given hes scored some runs lately, im putting it on Nicholls. That 9 innings for next to nada. 166/2, no 216/5. Still any lead is a lead, but really need at least 300 giving us 130. If can get Ind out for 300, should still be outs.

Im not sold on Blundell yet, hes averaging 20 outside his 2 centuries, he only averages 37 at 1st class, we have batsmen averaging much higher. Well Guptill and Munro both over 50 so its about some how making the most of your opportunities, lets hope Blundell can fill a role while we figure out a better long term successor. What I do like is he gives it a crack, hes not a blocker, which I feel is Nicholls trap at times and definitely was my frustration with Santner (aside from blocking a spot from some body capable of either taking wickets or scoring runs consistently. not when his position was on the line.

WTHeck is with starting late when you are trying to make up for a lost session. Started 11:30, it annoys me, why we dont start at 10:30 normally is beyond me, but starting at nearly lunch time when they are trying to make up time for a lost session. Not enough overs bowled to meet the over rate and now they said they could bat to 7:30, and extra 30 minutes, but they call light at 7:15pm, DURRR. Start at 10:30am like Aus do normally, then you wont have that problem. Over rate is another issue. Mark Richardson is a clown, but Im with him on this over rate issue and the Officials doing Sweet Flap all to administer it. There should never be extra drinks, its not like they dont get plenty as is, players should be held financially accountable for the over rate, obvious causes aside it should then be up to the players to prove otherwise. And make it significant cost because paying public do not earn Million dollar salaries like cricket players. They have become a bunch of overly precious princesses. Bring back Joel Garner, Michael Holding, Dennis Lillee and Richard Hadlee. It has become a very feminine side of men this sport. I think the Women are more physically capable than the men at times.

It maximises the Indian tv audience. There will be more money from the Indian rights than the NZ ones so they do what the Indian broadcasters want.

Yep for sure. But what a waste of time simply because players are not being held to a bowling rate by the umpires.

As it stands, with NZ 180 ahead, India will realistically need to bat 6 sessions to feel any form of safety. Although they are extended still I think.

Sharma great bowling. Colin DGH and Trent Boult lol saved the day, he was so funny to watch, every delivery was a squeak or a squawk but plenty cleared the boundary. Jameson looks a promising batsman in the mid-lower order. If Nichols and latham contribute, this is my fav Team selection in years.

Wow we seen some Jafas taking the off stump with that corridor through the air

Starc vs SA

Southee Vs IND

Boult Vs INd

Boults was slightly different it just kept coming in and was left, the other two literally straightened in the air and took off stump like the 2 players Starc and Southee were bowling to were new to it, which they are far from it.

Simply love it, my fav part of cricket is bowling and my ultimate is seeing the stumps come out, either through the corridor or just left due to seam/swing back, hitting the very top edge of off stump. Hadlee was the ultimate due to his accuracy. During the 80s Hadlee AVG was below 19, has he started their, their simply would be no debate he is the best of all time with 21.1 as it stands now, but he was still the first man to 300 test wickets. And he Avg 30 with the bat. That is world class all rounder, prob the best of his time and still arguably the best bowler. Kallis is clearly the best all rounder in the modern game, hands down, but played a lot more cricket than hadlee etc.

Early wicket for NZ. Very green looking wicket, Id have chosen to bowl 99.9/100 but its not moving too much off seam. Mind you southee and boult are not really seam bowlers, their seam looks beautiful but its designed for swing and swing only. Colind DGH on the other hand with scrambled seam will 8/10 hit the seam. Not sure on Jameson yet, but I see him being very Mcgrath like, a very controlled line and length. Welcome back Neil Wagner who is another fine seam bowler, along with the best body line bowler in world cricket currently ICC #2 bowler in world. Very refreshing to see 5 seam bowlers. Kane bowls spin as good as Santner so no issue there, but I hope they keep using Ajaz Patel on less green wickets overseas, he is our frontline wrist spinner with Sodhi a close second, Astle I just cant even understand how hes ever been selected.

Either way glad to see the back of Santner finally.

Means we are demanding out 6 batsmen do their jobs, with Colin DGH there to provide a little extra safety with 7 genuine batsmen, a couple handy tails and then a couple genuine tail enders, mind you Boults hand eye is so good, he smacked 44 off 30 odd in last test.

Great to have cricket back in the Capital Eden Park again.

Was a fine day all day aside from wind, clouds have come out of nowhere.

Anyway, this is near the perfect side for T20 and a backbone for the ODIs playing tonight with Ross in there somewhere, I like that its VERY different to our Test team. I really want to see Glenn Phillips show how very good he is. A little surprised Munro has been snubbed.

Full squad: Tim Southee (c), Martin Guptill, Tim Seifert, Glenn Phillips, Devon Conway, Ross Taylor, Daryl Mitchell, Jimmy Neesham, Kyle Jamieson, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Lockie Ferguson, Hamish Bennett.

Out of nowhere if you take how sunny it was all day long. The wind must have blown the rain in and now its here to stay in spits and spats for the first bit, not sure if it will reduce any overs.

Edit: and off come the covers rofl
