Go the Sharks. yell

Townsend plays for the Sharks doesn't he? SJ and him are a mean combo.

Yep, maybe. I have family in North Queensland, so I might follow the Cowboys, they have been quite successful, but not last year. Maybe might go back to Super 14 for the Crusaders

Yep, SJ has more chances with the sharks and the warriors have more money without SJ. They proved last year they can win consistently without SJ. And given his inconsistency I think its a good move. Who they replace him with makes or breaks whether this was a smart deal. The bought Ah Mau and they need a decent centre to go with Beale as Kata cant pass and doesnt step. And along with that they need a quality half back, a genuine rugby league half back not a player who is better at touch footy, 24 games is just too long for SJ's levels of Magic so thats not putting him down, its just logical. But its not what the Warriors need. I called it at the start of the year and I cant believe they had the balls to do it.

This year we will be focussing on offense, so somebody who can simply setup our set plays, much like maloney or even green who we already have. If we could afford to get Cleary Id be over the moon, I have no doubt hes the best all round 7 in the game and works with 6s long maloney or green very well. The warriors were playing 2 6s really, SJ is a much better 6 than 7, its his running game that sets him apart. But the warriors have game winners in spades.

It shows me the Warriors as a club have come of age as a pro league team, doing whats best for the team, loyalty doesnt win you premierships and there is no such thing in pro sports. I do agree the talk from the Warriors since letting him go was unnecessary and not very pro like, but the actual move was very pro. In the old days we would have hung onto Johnson overpaid until he retired, so I cant agree we are like the old days, i think we have turned 180 since Kearney arrived. Everything is heading in the right direction (aside from our media guys, some have them just STFU about it)

In saying that Shauns response was a bit Douche. He had plenty of years to get it together. Its clear his ego is better than the competition thinks he is, as was his salary. I think Aussies handle it better as there are so many clubs they are use to it.

SJ was and is over paid, fact.

But so are a lot of halves, DCE, wow hes gone down hill, id value him around $500k now $800k at his peak, not $1.3

Sad to see him go, especially to the sharks, he would have been magic at the Raiders. The Sharks are good, I just cant stand them since the ET days.

I got Melb and Roosters right this year and got the Roosters and picked up a little bit for it. Im not going with Melb next year due to Billys exit, but they will make the 4 likely.

The Dark Sheep now could be the Sharks with this team, rep players coming out their ears. Especially if Wade Graham recovers.

Kearney is definitely sticking to what Bennett and Bellamy taught him on how to turn a club around.

Year One: Focus on completions and get rid of the dropsy players.
Year Two: Focus on pre season fitness and have a solid defensive gameplan
Year thre: Develop Team based offensive game plans, no individual is greater than the team. Thats why they cut Princess loose.

people said the Dogs were bad, nah, they were completing 90% almost there entire game, we are just that much fitter than the other teams, our back 3 take the first 3 hit ups for the forwards for a gain of 40m, so by tackle 4 we are on the opposition 50m, we now have forward after forward who can steam roll the opposition and with the back 3 doing most of the leg work the forwards have the power required to break the line and get a lot of post tackle metres.

So both young halve backs Adam Keighran and Chanel Harris-Tavita had strong pre season games, Sk wasnt happy with Adams fitness or attitude but he seems to have turned it around to have a good Debut, scoring and setting up another try. Meanwhile Chanel is our next Magic, he has the step and pace off the step of Johnson, but hes a better organiser and a Genuine 7 where Johnson was only ever really a good 6 and not to his fault should have been moved there once he turned about 22 and had enough muscle. Chanel on the other hand is already bigger than when Johnson started, so he will take over from Green when he retires, meanwhile Chanel and Adam will take turns with the 6 position so Chanel is an under study to Green.

Things have never looked better at the Warriors, if its not this year, I think next year is our maiden premiership, its taken 3 years of hard work to get to this point but its paying off. Smart putchases both players and Coaches/Trainers like Alex Corvo are instrumental.

I honestly thought we were in the poop without a 6, but we have 2 halves that can play that role and one of them will take over from green. The future looks Rosie, a coach who has turned the club around methodically, gotten rid of the dropsies, then introudced fitness and defense and now we can score as a team without Johnson. I think Adam Keihgran and Harris Tavita have potential to become Johnson like, especially Harris-Tavita with his step and speed, but also hes a general and will push around the big boys as 7. Back 3 make interchanges almost uneeded, we have 3 forwards who can play 80 minutes rofl. And we look like we could play another game at the end, thats what gives us the edge until about round 8 when teams grow their fitness back. HUGE advantage.

I kinda do feel its our year, I said next year, but the doggies weren hopeless they had 90% completion rate. We just stopped them in their half most sets. Period.

Terrible 2 games without a real hooker, no denying it. 80 points in 2 game and now we are -27 and 9th.

But I do have faith on the whole Alex Corvo has done a good job on our fitness and defense.

Its obvious to me the swap of Kata and Hiku to opposite sides caused mayhem in our defense. Surprisingly none of of our players are in the top 10 for missed tackles, I expected Hiku there but no hes doing ok for him.

Its the middle they had to stiffen, which given Luke came back early and hasnt been seen since, for good reason (he should have gotten match fit first). So we tried 2 players at hhooker which both suck in my opinion roach and tevaga, at that position I mean.

This week we got what I would have picked week one, Lawton, somebody we bought from the Titans to be our backup hooker. And IMO our best outside Luke. Hes 200% intense and plays almost identical to Luke, whch is good for getting fast plays and the ball up the field quick with dummy half runs and catching players out of marker and getting penalties. Hes also a good defender, which stiffens our middle.

And Chanel HT is a WAY better half than Keighran, I think the club wants him to take over from green as 7 when he retires. But hes kind of like Johnson and Jones in one, he can definitely play 6 and he is a sick as passer, creating and awesome try on the weekend, a mean stepper and turbo like Johnson, but he played within himself which was a smart move. I think if he gets picked this weekend he might show what hes really got. Hes also a solid defender unlike Keighran. I think we bought Keighran because the team wanted to see Chanel in NSW cup for a year before introducing him straight from u20 to the real deal first grade, but he handled it awesome.  I just hope the Warriors dont mess this player up. I expect they wont spend Johnsons cash until a top 6 becomes available, somebody with sick speed that can draw and pass and create the overlap for Fus to do his flying fus tries.

Also the kicks were much more on point this game, giving Fus time to get under them, one a try the other a pat back nearly a try.

It was only the titans so Im not getting over excited. But we put 40 on the doggies and they nearly beat Storm. Also Sea Eagles win a really giood game. Tigers unlucky. So the 80 points was bad, caused by not scoring with the overload of possesion we had on the oppisition red zone, when that happens, eventually the momentum sewings. If you score, you get the ball back and you simply play completion game until the opposition makes a mistake, then when in red zone either score or force a drop out. Not rocket science, but when you have sooooooo much red zone offense and dont score, it swings and it is a player mental defeater. So the warriors have to score. They have tidy completion record, they get good red zone posession, they just need players who create line breals/try assists and thats usually the 6.

Honestly I would have. Cleary is something like 32nd in key Half Back stats and Maloney is 23rd. They are about as good as Green and CHT at the moment haha. Just not finding attacking plays for their team.

Looks like Kodi will start today. Dont expect him to kick the ball or be good on defense (hes at the top of the list of halves with missed tackles but Maloney is double the top at 48 bahahaha, and that was before last night).

What he will do is at the 10 mark run at the line and score, he has a good step.

I hate the buy but what can you do, they said they werent desperate but clearly they were.

Chanel will replace Green in 2 years full time, he will also replace him when hes not able to play. Hayze will be knocking on Kodis spot within 2 years.

Great to see Herbert keep Kata out.

Why are we bad then pretty darn good? I haven't watched any games as I missed the early ones then was glad I missed them, which seemed to confirm the lass of SJ and others was too much.

How do we compare with last year? To me, last year we showed we are top 8, can be great, can be very average.

What a Joke the 13-1 reffing last week was. Not 50/50 calls, blatant mistakes that will cost us a chance at the 8.

Some 50/50 calls in this game but to be fair, warriors not playing with intensity at home in a must win game, win and they are in with a good chance of leap frogging the 8 next weekend, which is what the Broncos will do if they win next.

Joke of a CEO flaps the start of our season up. We have shown some good signs. Maumolo being in the top try scorer list is great given his opposite Fusitua won it last year, RTS still spewing out metres, near 300 a few games a in a row, if we were winning more games would be in with a chance as  the Dally M player.

Much like the ICC, the NRL are child like in how they work and how they manage the quality of reffing.

Looks Like tonights thrashing by the Raiders effectively ends there chances for top 8 Their defence was very soft wasn't it. Paper thin I heard the term being used.

Poor most of the season, no excuses. "Our heart wasnt in it" didn't one of their players say? Leave the game if anyone plays with that mindset.
