Ive thought of an idea for the aussies. Wear underwear that has sandpaper like spikey bits that go through your trousers, so you can rough up one side of the ball real quick. I reckon warner would wear them inside out deliberately though. hmmmm

This is why I couldnt get over Steve Smiths arrogance in reply to saying he asked the team to cheat but he wont stand down as the ship needs its captain to correct itself, ummm, the ship is off course because of the captain you brain dead twit.

Warner is just a dog act, always has been on the field so wasnt a surprise from him. Smith though I thought was a genuinely nice fair play guy. I guess anyone can put on an act. Shame on his parents. :-)

Smith is a zombie and was never a captain.. he was too busy stroking Warner and trying to be "cool".

They both are in it for the money and to further their own ego.. They never played for Australia, they played for themselves.

I'm glad Warner has lost all his sponsors. Might teach the c-word a lesson. If I lived anywhere near the arrogant little effer, I'd go and punch him in the head.

The whole team have been a bunch of wa*kers, and getting worse every year since Lehman became coach.. He has a typical south aussie attitude. Every person born in this state thinks they're a legend, when all they are is a bunch of tossers. (You might be able to tell I wasn't born here).

Don't get me started on the Australian government, because heads asplode!!

I'd almost live in NZ if it wasn't for your weather, your wages, your roads, rugby... I better stop now.

Very peaceful looking. What CBD? Oops, off topic. Which major cricket ground are you closest to?

Nice mate.

Was in Pinnacle. Mid 20's, too humid to dry, took a day.

My place is over .23 acres, easily.    Oh, you said 2.3....

From memory your around Adelaide?

Back on topic. I have no sympathy. We all know stuff happens, but I cannot abide, sorry I made a huge mistake. It wasnt a mistake it was planned. Cricket is a fickle sport. They have a 5 day test, but a side can be bowled out in 10 balls, 20 minutes. To change the ball to cause swing is absolutely huge, a game changer. 1.5 days of batting can be reduced to .5 days, and thats just half the match. I feel sorry for the Australians who feel let down.

they probably really all did know. id say some just turned a cheek as it made them feel dirty. and them some like the Mush brothers probably offered a hand lol. Notice Smith used the most dispensable player in the team, or at least the one who hasnt been consistently selected.

EXACTLY... premeditated cheating isn't a mistake, it's a scum act.

Adelaide Oval is an hour from my new house  :)

Won't be worth going to a game for a few years yet though.

Steve Smith live now from the airport.

Tears and hopes he can earn back respect.

Warners "warm mouth" person says it was an error of judgement.

His old man has obviously told him he's let everyone down.

I am very impressed with how this has all been handled. Not within some shaky moments, but the parties admitted fault, ICC took action (pathetic as it was) CA took action and handed out suitable punishments, the parties have fronted and apologized, and now the Coach who says he had no idea has resigned.

People won't soon forget it, but their sense of justice should be satisfied.

All within 1 week.

It's how things should be handled. No 3-month independent inquiry, no telling people they can keep their jobs no matter what the result of the enquiry is...

No I want more. I just watched poor baby Smith and his crocodile tears and put it on loop. Jokes.

My problem is this doesnt just run at the top of cricket captaincy, win at all cost including sportsmanship is a theme in australian sport. in nz you are taught what at school, play hard but play fair.

Not saying we are saints, but its such a culture difference thats hard to describe without having lived a long time in both countries.

Good on Smith for fronting up at the airport.

I agree, Australian Cricket (and possibly sport in general) needs a going over for Culture and importance of fair play.

You see it every year in Rugby too. Australia have won very little against NZ in recent times yet every year they come out and talk themselves up. Comparatively the All Blacks just shut up, and let the results do all the talking.

The best Aussie rugby players get paid many times more to play league. So they play league. There aren't too many more lesser talented ones because there is no feeder competition like NZ has. So the Wallabies don't have the best players.

The scepticist in me thinks that there is soft evedeince that this is not the first time.  The action taken by CA was fast - to shut this down, before all hell broke loose with more and more examples.  Now that it has been dealt with, people dont feel the need to go back and look at the last season, or before that even.  Why do I believe this?  Because they lied once they were caught and admitted it, Bancroft sugested it was tape from inside the uniform.  Cant believe a word coming out of the three of their mouths.

I saw the interview with Smith at the aiport and he was asked hand on heart if this was the only time this had occured and he said it absolutely was... Not so sure
