Wider tracks would help, not easy to do perhaps.

All cars run the same Mercedes engine, its a great engine so lets do that, plenty of scope to choose drivers and aero and other enhancements to improve the car

Remove the tarmac run off and use gravel

Abuse the white line, like MotoGP you go through a penalty area which is a small diversion that costs you a few seconds. Its the only sport I know where the sideline is meaningless

And Perez gets the boot, along with his money and the requirement to run pink cars to satisfy his sponsors.

Haas is the real shocker of late.  From a great start they peaked around 2018 and have then trended down and down, looking like Vankers of course.

If Mercedes aren't in the mix, the rest of the field is quite close, with some tracks and setups suiting some teams more than others.
Unfortunately the current regs remain unchanged into next year now too, so expect more of the same again.

Very little incentive to keep tuning in, but the GP2/GP3 is on at a sane hour and the racing is usually pretty good.

Last race there was a clip of Ferrari going bad, and Sainz shaking his head, priceless. Vettels move is a good move, drivers need to always be looking at a better drive.

Yes, F1/F2 is a good watch, the mandatory pitstop is annoying though. I want to see racing, not a middle half when compounds are mixed up and no one knows who will win till that shakes out. Id rather it was a forced soft to hard tyre change

I'm struggling to see what compounds really bring to the show anymore, given that most people end up on the same strategy and pit around the same time.

In F1? Yes thats true. The fault that is there is that the tyres last too long. 20 laps used to be a long stint, now its 50, may as well just race on hards and have no stops. Make the track the entire venue as track limits are a joke. The legends of the past will be crying over how santised it is now

Thanks for confirming it's not just me.

I messaged Spark sport support and they are aware of issue.

Couldn't sleep the other night, notice the time so tuned into the F1 race.
Watched to halfway and was falling asleep so went back to bed.

Got up the next morning and put on the youtube race highlights summary.
(These are mental good by the way, and have to be hurting providers for the casual watcher in NZ, as they're free and available by breakfast time)

Result was as expected.  Rain never came.  Yawnfest continues.

Considering cancelling Spark Sport - the racing isn't worth catching up on and there's no desire from the governing bodies to change anything any time soon. Seems they are happy with one driver/team winning all the time if it's the right driver/team doing it.
