It's certainly going to be an interesting remainder of the season. While I'm a Mercedes fan and distraught that they're not winning, I'm actually happy that we're seeing greater competition between the teams.
I've been a fan of Albon, Russell and Norris and it's good to see all a generation of new drivers all doing so well.
Agree. And Sergio and Danny Ricc seem to be getting on top of the seat change.

RBR have clearly gained some HP
Still feel for McLaren being the testing ground for Honda, and bailing just as they came right.
Saw a poster the other day at a Honda dealer (looking for a new Jazz for parents) which said something like Honda will always be in formula one, or Honda is nothing if it's not racing.
Some PR crap like that which I think they'll be rushing to take down when Honda exits the sport end of 2021.
From memory Red Bull are taking that whole engine manufacture business on to ensure continuity, which is brave but they really are in the sport with essentially two teams running.

Yeah just watching that on FP2. No issue to address in pitstops. Apart from Mercedes spin....
Russell for Merc next year? Has to be.
1. Lewis wants Bottas as he is a number two man, not allowed to win unless Lewis is out.
2. Lewis isn't there for another 5 years, Russell is the future
3. Lewis isnt guaranteed a turn up and win championship, so wants Bottas not Russell who will race him
Mercedes need to look at the future and Russell is it
So, maybe this Red Bull improving thing may be for real...
i'm crossing my fingers for max. no matter how good a driver there is always the element of luck. break downs, safety cars etc ...
and Merc is trying their best to hurt RB outside the track ...
it's a long season

Jaxson: Daniel Ric poor performance is quite a surprise.
Hoping he has some sahib next years car development as something about this year McLaren just isn’t sitting right for him.
Lando on the other side is doing exceptionally well, and glad to see McLaren up the front end of the grid again.
Lando's stats. The only driver to always move forward from the start this season. The only driver to score points in every race this season.
Where is RBR's speed? I guess they've improved the engine but Id be very surprised if they had more HP than the Merc. No way. The smaller wing is huge, Mercedes could do that as well.
Johnny Herbert said something in FP's. RBR is a better car, as in always was. I agree. Its always been balanced and great mechanical grip. They won 4 titles when top end speed was mid grid. They now have found some HP, they've added to that with wing. It seems Merc, being a clean air car, cannot afford rear wing.
why did lando give perez and bothas free overtakes at the start?

I agree 100%, but as a Mercedes fan feel very sorry for Bottas who really has done an an amazing job over the years. The problem for Bottas is that F1 is a brutal heartless sport where nice guys aren't always the winners.
I would love to know what other driving Russell may have done/be doing incl simulator driving for Mercedes and the sort of results he is getting.
