Batman:

judge is siding with djokovic. first set to djokovic

I figure he will play as its others that led him up the garden path. Its easy to focus on his vaccine stance and hes not like Rafa or Roger, but at the end of the day he should have been told he is not eligible for quarantine free, so he can do MIQ or not come

court is paused as the "zoom" court stream itself has crashed as random people are joining the zoom court

I don't care if he has been mislead. What is so hard about getting vaccinated? There is no compelling reason for him to be in Australia. He should just go home.

Pretty sure, even if the pub owner / President of the Republic of Whangamōmona told me I could grow and smoke weed there, the Government of NZ would still say its illegal. Just because I was told wrong, doesn't mean I'm innocent.

This point has been made earlier but I agree: If I was going to an international conference and they organisers said "you'll be sweet" I'd still look at the official entry requirements to be sure.

He should have asked the right people. Nadal and co said that Djokovic was well aware of the rules like they all were. Can't help thinking that he thought "I am number one, I am really important and rules don't apply to me."  Public safety trumps any sporting event of sports person.

He wouldn't, of course, but he has plenty of well-paid flunkies who should have. Ignorance is no excuse. Neither is indifference.

SERVED!

I am pre-emptively booking a catchy pun when he loses the case shortly and gets deported. Please do not steal it. Goes well with both tennis and deportation papers.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Perhaps or he asked Tennis Australia who are in Australia and they said he was eligible. Or does he ignore all experts and do his own googling? If he stays he will have to finish MIQ as thats the rule irregardless. If it was Roger?

Tennis Australia does not do Border Control. I am sure this applies to  any nation

If he's not interested in being vaccinated he's highly likely to be a great googler.  "Do your own research" and all that...

He is the best player to have played the game.

Yeah, nah

The GOAT - the best men's tennis player ever - is the Australian Rod Laver.

Rod Laver is the only man ever to complete a calendar-year (i.e. proper) Grand Slam in the Open era - in 1969.
He also completed a Grand Slam as an amateur in 1962

The only other man to complete a Grand Slam was Don Budge, an American amateur, in 1938

Until Novax can complete a Grand Slam, he's 'only' a great player, not a GOAT.
And if he gets deported from Australia, I've read that he's automatically ineligible for a Australian visa for three years, so he'd be pretty elderly to make a Grand Slam after that.

Your opinion may differ, but you'd be wrong LOL
