That Perez suggested Lawson was "not humble enough" should be the least of his worries. That the older drivers expect deference from the new ones only demonstrates that the closed-shop attitudes from F1 teams in keeping the grid from expanding also permeate down to the senior drivers. I've seen a video somewhere today that in the lead-up to Lawson getting the digit out Perez had brake-tested the young Kiwi. I'll see if I can find the link to that.
Perez should be more concerned with the attitudes of the wider workforce back at the factory. My understanding is that the size of the end of season bonus they all get is directly tied to Red Bull's finishing place in the WCC. If he thinks Lawson doesn't respect him enough, he'd better not wonder too much about the respect he has in Milton Keynes as they are all seeing their Christmas bonuses going down the gurgler because he can't drive the RB20 quickly.
