Not too flash from the AB's today, 80 points is good, but easily could have been 100. Cowan responsible for most of the disruption, seemed over eager. Expect some disruption due to the number of key players out, but still.

Wow so what a weekend of Rugby. Upsets by Wales/France and I thought the Boks were a little hard done by, for all their effort. A few concerns in the AB's but in the end the scoreline didn't accurately indicate how well the argentinians played.

Next week it's going to come down to McCaw vs Pocock.

Still can't understand why Deans didn't take Cooper off, he is a shocker.

I agree, I'll be very surprised if Cooper is starting next week against the AB's. Mind you it's probably not helping when everytime he gets the ball there is a loud droning boo from the crowd.

Banana?

He's just one of those guys that you love to boo at.

I hope he is playing this weekend, and that Richie's foot holds up, and the Kieran and Jerome don't get injured and that Piri doesn't get injured and .......

Go the ABs, it's going to be a long wee for me...

Yah I continue to be disgusted by this behaviour. I think they will play Cooper next weekend, because I don't think they have anyone else.

Great weekend of rugby.

The Welsh are looking great, the Aussies put in an impressive gritty defence, the French turned it up several notches as did the Argentinians.
Similar to the Irish vs Aus, I'm glad the ABs got pushed as hard as they did.  Was great to see Weepu out there directing play, looking forward to next weekend!

I too am looking forward to next weekend. Kinda freaky that it's the same four semi-finalists as 1987.

And a BIG thumbs-down to SkyTV for cutting away from Mils receiving his 100th cap. Don't give us any spin about it being due to international commitments because you managed to work around it for Richie!

Edit: Corrected typo.

TV3 also cut it but they apologised for it. I think they do what they're told.

Don't think TV3 or TVNZ had any choice as SkY are the host broadcaster and provide the feed.

God almighty, Slade and Mils gone from the world cup! At this rate I think we had better get Andrew Merhtens warmed up :)

Slade traded in for Weepu is a good bet, for kicking so happy with that.

The AB's played odd, often going up the middle when there was room on the wing. Or even getting the ball, not needing to go to wing, but they still went up the middle when there were better options. The commentators in the aftermatch, one hinted that we are sandbagging. I'd go along with that. Keep the smart set plays to ourselves for final night or Oz semi. Not needed against the Argies who did play well.

Heres hopng

Now that Hosea Gear has been called into the squad they had better pull the 'Captain Hurricane' mascot suit out of the cupboard. Why? Because of the possibiity of a backline that contains Weepu, Cruden, Nonu, Smith, Jane and Gear. Look familiar Wellingtonians? (I'm talking 2011 not later by the way).

Mils retires, I felt very sad watching that happen. He didn't get honoured the way he deserved to be, but wow what an amazing career. Ritchie will be next. I am not sure what's going to happen with our coaches after this WC ends, GH has said he won't stay regardless, and I can't seem them getting Gatland who I would like to see as head coach with Kirwan assistant coach.

Gatland won't be going anywhere, signed till 2015 for the WRU.
