Journo seems to be moaning about data eSIM because she can’t order Uber eats.

This is timely as I'm looking at taking the family over to Europe for about 4-5 weeks in September. Are there any companies that offer both physical and e-sims as mine and my wife's phones are e-sim capable but our sons aren't?

That's good, thanks. This person's phone is dual SIM but no eSIM. This would help.

Oh, that looks like it'll do the trick nicely. Thanks for that.

What about Sparks Travel https://sparks.travel/packages/europeplus?plan=global

It’s usually cheaper to buy sparks eSIMs through Mobimatter. It’s worth checking at any rate.

We are headed to Europe for 6 weeks in July and as we have had a good run with Simcorner we will try them again. 10gb $NZ33 or May go for the 12gb at $38. The only downside is they only last for 30 days so will need two each.

Same original question, except we are heading to the USA (pacific coast side). 7 Adults + 2 children so we would like someone to call home and contact each of us if we seperate (and we will be).

some of us have iPhones with 2D and can convert them to esim here , or do we get esims over in the USA ? We will want voice and data.

US carriers are NZ level expensive. If it was me I’d get one local sim for voice, get eSIMs for data and use WhatsApp/FaceTime etc for calling each other.

Im about to do some travelling around western and southern Asia and the Middle East and would like to know how people have found Airalo, in general and for those areas? or are there other recommendations for Esims for those areas?

I've used Aralo in India and in general found coverage to be pretty good.

After travelling outside of NZ you're far less likely to complain about coverage issues here. I regular loose connectivity when roaming overseas.

Wondering if there's any update to this on what people have used recently?

Looking into options for a UK/Europe trip later this year. I see Sim Corner has a good discount on at the moment - are they any good? Trip includes UK, Ireland, France, Switzerland.

And is esim or physical sim better?
