Rikkitic:

You might try downloading it with y2mate. I just did and it worked fine, but I don't know if that bypasses the geoblock. In any case, I have it as a MP4. There are a lot of ways to see this.

Works perfectly, thanks!

Washington Post: 5 takeaways from Monday’s White House coronavirus briefing

President Trump and the White House coronavirus task force held their latest briefing Monday (Tuesday NZ time).

Here are some takeaways.

1. Giroir explains the ’27 million tests’ claim

It has been nearly a month since the coronavirus task force promised 27 million tests by the end of March. To date, only about 4 million people have been successfully tested...

2. Trump ignores rallies, claims he hasn’t left the White House ‘in months’

At one point while he was playing up his early coronavirus response — specifically his Jan. 31 travel restrictions on China — PBS’s Yamiche Alcindor noted that Trump was still holding campaign rallies with large crowds in early March.

Trump responded by wrongly saying he hadn’t left the White House “in months.” (He had left four times, including one rally)

3. Trump says hard-hit areas have ‘turned the corner’

...Even if the hardest-hit areas are seeing declines, the overall death toll isn’t substantially declining yet.

4. Trump adjusts goal for death toll: 50,000 to 60,000

...Trump has in the past played up a model that suggested between 100,000 and 200,000 deaths, and suggested that would represent a good job by his administration. Then he began playing up the idea that it could be as low as 60,000 or 65,000. Now he seems to be aiming lower.

It’s worth noting that the most recent Washington Post death toll is at 42,000 — meaning hitting between 50,000 and 60,000 would require a sharp downward trend in the days and weeks to come.

5. Trump’s context-free claim about Cuomo

Early in the news conference, Trump again downplayed the federal government’s role in the coronavirus response. But in doing so, he left out some crucial context.

Trump cited New York Governor. Andrew Cuomo’s comments about the states being responsible for testing.

“I want to draw your attention to Governor Cuomo’s remarks during his news conference today,” Trump said. “He said the president is right: The state’s testing is up to the states to do.”

Cuomo did in fact say that, but he also said that it was up to the federal government to make sure the supply chain is up to snuff, and that this was a problem.

US Loans were suppose to go to companies with fewer than 500 employees and revenue of less than $2.5 billion. Fund no longer has any money. It's a "forgivable" loan, which means it doesn't need to be paid back.

Snopes: Government Relief Loans to Restaurant Chains Draw Complaints

Shake Shack, one of a number of US national chains that received loans meant for small businesses, said it will return its loan to give smaller restaurants a chance to get government money.

...Shake Shack, the New York burger chain, said Monday it will return its loan to give smaller restaurants a chance to get government money. Shake Shack employs nearly 8,000 workers across 189 outlets. The company said it secured alternate funding.

The government program, which is overseen by the Treasury and administered by the Small Business Administration, limits loan recipients to businesses with fewer than 500 employees and revenue of less than $2.5 billion. But it makes an exception for restaurants and other food service businesses that employ fewer than 500 people per location, meaning that restaurant chains are as eligible for the loans as a neighborhood restaurant or bar.

...Darden Restaurants — which owns the Olive Garden chain — took out a $270 million loan earlier this month. McDonald’s took out a $1 billion loan

...Other chains have also accessed PPP funds. Potbelly Sandwich Works, which which has 474 restaurants and 7,000 employees, said last week it received a $10 million loan. Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, which has 150 restaurants and more than 5,700 employees, received two loans of $10 million each.

Trump just called himself "King of Ventilators" during the White House briefing today. He said social distancing is important and governors will do what they need to do. Small businesses will need to remain closed a bit longer. And the Air Force demo team will do flyovers on American cities! Yay!

I guess someone got to him and put into his empty head that having 100,000 dead won't be good for re-election.

Won't the chemtrails they leave behind just make the virus worse? Or will they stay away from the cities that already have 5G?

RealClear Politics - Trump: Media Blew The Ventilator Shortage Story, We Have So Many That We'll Be Exporting Them

April 20, 2020

President Trump announced that the U.S. has a surplus of ventilators that soon we will export some machines to countries like Mexico and Italy to assist in their coronavirus mitigation efforts.

At Monday's coronavirus task force briefing, the president said the media "completely blew" the ventilator shortage story and only the "fair press" covers this news. ...

Just saw this story in the Grauniad quoting Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel laureate and chief economist of the World Bank Top economist: US coronavirus response is like 'third world' country :

"The inequality in the U.S. is so large. This disease has targeted those with the poorest health. In the advanced world, the US is one of the countries with the poorest health overall and the greatest health inequality”

I'm now standing by for the inevitable antisemitic spew that'll be coming from Trump's fan club...

A disturbing new study suggests Sean Hannity’s show helped spread the coronavirus. tl;dr is that Hannity listeners were more likely to end up with Covid19 than ones who listened to Tucker Carlson, who himself doesn't exactly provide a rational perspective:

Using both a poll of Fox News viewers over age 55 and publicly available data on television-watching patterns, they calculate that Fox viewers who watched Hannity rather than Carlson were less likely to adhere to social distancing rules, and that areas where more people watched Hannity relative to Carlson had higher local rates of infection and death.

Since Hannity is Trump's brain, that then escalated up to the top.
