Dexamethasone can have pretty strong psychoactive side effects.  If he wasn't such a piece of garbage, I'd excuse him for being "high".  But he doesn't give a toss about other people and thinks very highly of himself all the time.

Be interesting to see his general demeanour when they wean him off - he'll go from stupid stoned Trump to stupid grumpy Trump, should be fairly obvious.

The "haven't felt better for 20 years" comment from him was probably true.  He's fat, has an awful diet, and the only exercise he seems to get is driving a golf cart.  He's visibly shuffling - has the "old man walk" and is stooped.  "Normal" for him at 74 probably isn't great.  Dexamethasone will fix that dramatically, for a while, then... problems.

Yes, really  🙃

Like so many things in Trumpworld I actually don't believe it. A person with no moral concerns would buy one now in case Trump carcs it and these medals are withdrawn from sale. In case there is not enough contradiction in the content already..

Note from Designer & Series Creator: Anthony Giannini:

This final coin in this phase of the collection, at least for President Trump's first term, presents icons, or motifs, of his myriad successes across these past four years despite attempts to subvert him from so many negative fronts.

How many among us could sustain the continual onslaughts President Trump has endured?

Despite these media onslaughts, President Trump accomplished brilliant historic achievements - goals declared as utterly impossible by self-righteous pundits in the earliest moments of his candidacy.

My new design is informed by superhero graphic art because surrounding President Donald J. Trump is a mythos never before seen in a United States president, a mythos not unlike the Epic of Gilgamesh.

It is now win at all costs, regardless of how many rules of decent behaviour you have to break, or how dirty you have to fight. This makes me wonder just what it is they think they are fighting for.

Evangelicals profess to live by the bible, but they seem only interested in the parts about discrimination and punishment.

Mind you, there will be his followers in the US who can't fall over themselves fast enough to buy as many of these coins as possible. Hey, he has to fund his re-election campaign somehow!

It's been done before:

And he had to face even more negative publicity than Trump.

IMO the GOP is a truly remarkable "loose coalition" of divergent ideologies that should never work together - yet seem to agree on a few things:

That wealth shouldn't be limited to being able to buy and own more stuff, but that the privilege that wealth bestows should be used to rig the system - so that wealth can buy other privileges -  and those privileges assure wealth.  And around we go.

That the principle of meritocracy works in reverse - the rich deserve to be rich and the poor deserve to be poor, based on merit or lack of it.

That secularism and "religious freedom" (as pushed by Republicans) aren't the same thing.  (Religious freedom wasn't supposed to be about allowing you "the freedom" to impose your morals and beliefs about what an invisible man in the sky said - then enacted as laws allowing you to control others.  It was so that you and all others wouldn't be persecuted)

Curse American "Christian" evangelism, "moral majority", and "prosperity theology". It's all pure evil - Jesus despised it. (I'm an atheist - which is the lowest of the low as the assumption is usually made that I'm an "anti-theist".  I'm not - believe whatever you like, that's your problem, but curse you if you try to make it mine).

That imagery perfectly symbolises Trump's handling of this. Not the random words but the virus on one side and the empty podium on the other. Couldn't think of a better image for their handling of the pandemic.

Yeah, but they did have David Low, who was at least as dangerous if you were a dictator.

What would you expect from someone he would take a joy ride in an SUV, which could potentially infect his security team, and even eventually kill one or two.

I don't think his messages dimenishing COVID will play well with retirees, a core Republican voting segment. A few may become secret Biden voters (the guy less likely to kill your grandma).

Washington Post: Facebook removes Trump post calling the coronavirus ‘less lethal’ than the flu

The social media platform removed a post from the president Tuesday for violating its policies on coronavirus misinformation.

Facebook removed a post from President Trump on Tuesday that called coronavirus “far less lethal” than the flu, reinforcing tension between the social media company and the president as the election approaches.

Twitter left the same post on its site but hid it under a public interest notice and limited how it could be shared.

“Flu season is coming up! Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu. Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!” Trump’s tweet and now-deleted Facebook post reads.

Trump on Monday night left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he was being treated for covid-19. Earlier in the day, he posted on social media, “Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life.” That drew intense criticism online for what many saw as him downplaying the virus that has killed at least 209,000 people in the United States.

Neither Twitter nor Facebook took any action against the Monday post and did not respond to repeated requests for comment asking if it violated their policies against coronavirus misinformation. Both companies have pledged to remove coronavirus misinformation that could lead to physical harm.

Twitter and Facebook have taken harsher action against Trump’s tweets this year. Twitter has labeled several of his tweets for violating its policies, starting with a fact check label in May and immediately drawing the ire of the president for its decision.

But many experts still criticize the companies for not taking harsher action and say the policies are not being enforced consistently...
