I'm waiting for all these celebs that backed Hillary and swore that if Trump won they would quit the US, to do just that.

Truth is most/all will not as they're leeches with their own financial interests at heart.

Cher said she would rather live on Jupiter -  a project for Elon Musk maybe?

So far Trump has been gracious in victory. Not a bad example to follow.

Gracious in words does not equal gracious in actions. His words do not alter the underlining disaster.

Would hate to be one of the millions on Obama Care.  It will be gone by lunchtime after he is swarn in. No money or insurance no healthcare..

it wont be that easy if the republicans cancel it they have to find 33 billion [estimate] of taxes that the bill brings in .

Plus he needs to fund his large tax cuts. Plus he needs to fund the infrastructure rebuild to be the best in the world. He complained about the debt the US has.

Your post and my two addons are a massive, massive cost. Clearly the financial reality is lost on his voters, money doesn't grow on trees. Well it does actually, but you know what I mean

In fact, I'd argue that you wouldn't run for President if you weren't egotistical, and wouldn't succeed at it if you weren't deceitful.

You consider Obama deceitful and egotistical? I mean to a degree it's pretty much how politics works, but I wouldn't have thought of him in those terms primarily.

I don't know about primarily, and have no direct evidence to judge on. But, yes, I'm fairly confident... politics is about getting others to do what you want. You don't get into that unless you think your ideas are better than theirs, or that you are better than them. And you won't get far in politics if you tell the complete truth.

Well, Ford customers will be funding the wall if Ford take their manufacturing plant to Mexico.

fair enough but the republicans have nothing to replace it with, if they just cancel it it will leave up to 25 million people suddenly without healthcare and no way to afford private insurance. and these are the same people who voted Trump into power.

That's not actually true. The Republicans actually didn't object to Healthcare being provided to all, but they wanted it done differently. The plan may not be concrete yet, but despite what some may believe there will be Democrat(ic) consideration of the new healthcare regime.

I believe 3-4 years from now it will look different but still exist. Whether it still protects everyone to the same level, that is obviously yet to be determined, but I'd expect not, but it may be FAIRER to everyone, which is what I think most Americans wanted.

I am not an Obamacare expert by any stretch.

It's also worth noting that Presidental candidates do get top level briefings so they can provide a reasonable platform of campaign promises, but the full extent of the way things work, aren't apparent till after you are Elected, and some things are kept until you are sworn in.

It's why Obama campaigned on removal of Gitmo, but didn't actually remove it, and apologised to the people that he wasn't able to remove it, because it would have put the safety of the people at risk.

Shouldering the load of the Presidency is an awesome and heavy responsibility. It's why people age so quickly.

I can't recall which President said that he almost wished he never knew the threats that existed in the world once he got his first weekly security briefings as President.

Well as I said Hillary should have stepped aside. Anyway, just wondering, who will lead the opposition? Is there such a thing in the US congress? Is Hillary staying or retiring from politics?

I don't know if the financial reality is lost, just dismissed as evidence of a conspiracy against Trump, along with most (all?) other valid criticism.

Indicated she will stay, but can't see it happening. She is a lame duck now. She has twice run for President, held SOS, and held A Senate seat. Not much she can do that isn't down hill from here.

Bill looks really old lately, wonder how his health is? Perhaps she should have a rest and see what shakes out.

I can't wait to hear his 100 day plan to drain the swamp and see the plans for his new wall.

As is it now in the Senate and Congress. Clinton is now nothing Trump will be head of State which is not Senate or Congress.

Voters have started their plan already. Big protests and scuffles outside Trump Tower at the moment.

She should buy a Pickup and a boat and say stuff it and retire.

A lot of his ideas make some sense or a lot of sense. The stuff to do with limiting terms of congress people, and the stuff around lobbying is excellent. If he can get that done, expect to see some improvements overall.

I think you will find him revert his wall to a "concept" rather than a wall, or a wall in PARTS, so that patrolling the border becomes more manageable. He has also said he wants to streamline the process allowing people to get from Mexico legally if they meet criteria so that they don't have so many people TRYING to cross illegally.

Also expect to see a Germany type bringing "down" of the wall 16 years from now.

Meh, it's nothing, two weeks from now, people will have settled down a little. Their rioting etc won't really change anything.

Bottom line is, 1 in every 2 people decided they wanted him.

That's stupid, these protests by the anti Trump sector shows that the so called greatest democracy does not really believe in democracy.
