Plenty of shock horror with majority Senate constipators blocking every single thing Biden tries to do.

Current President has made Executive Orders the new way of pushing anything and everything through...any new president would be mad not to follow suit if worried about things being blocked

Biden giving a very uniting speech now which sounds very much like a victory speech.

I think both "conspirators" and "constipators" would apply on that sentence...

dafman:

Regardless of outcome, one half of America will be convinced they were cheated out of the presidency, in a dysfunctional democracy awash with guns.

To be honest, predictions like this have been going on since forever. A black man elected to the presidency?! (remember all the predictions of assassination attemptse etc) Unthinkable! A second term for Bush, unthinkable, but it happened, the world kept spinning. Ultimately, there will be some angst, perhaps some violence, but basically the US will get to back work, make the most of what they have. I don't see a Civil war over this, or in fact any time soon.

The temperature over there is pretty hot right now, people are passionate. What is discouraging is there isn't a real clear consensus of opinion, the vote wasn't the Blue wave predicted, and Trump still got a massive number of votes.

Also, I don't think one half of America will think they were cheated. There will be a smallish vocal group who believe that.

CNN Projection: Joe Biden will win Michigan, CNN projects.

There are 16 electoral votes at stake in Michigan. It takes 270 electoral votes to win the 2020 presidential election.

Who won in 2016: President Trump carried the state and won the general election.

Looks near certain Biden will win now.

Something I didn't realise until this year: Some states allocate their electoral college in proportion to the candidates' shares of the vote within the state.  For example Nebraska - 4 for trump and 1 for Biden.

Biden has nine different possibilities to win, Trump has three.

TRUMP CLAIMS THAT WISCONSIN IS NOT A STATE

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Donald J. Trump has asked the United States Supreme Court to rule that Wisconsin is not a state.

“I’ve been hearing bad things about Wisconsin. It's a rigged hoax, claiming to be a state,” Trump told reporters. “It’s disgraceful.”

When asked by a reporter to explain Wisconsin’s admission to the Union, in 1848, Trump said, “Show me one person who saw that happen. You can’t, because they’re all dead. That’s very convenient and very cute.”

Trump also said that Wisconsin had no right to call itself “the Badger State.”

“First of all, it’s not a state,” Trump said. “Second of all, there are no badgers there. I’ve been there many, many times and have only ever seen beavers. Wisconsin should apologize to all badgers.”

"USPS data shows thousands of mailed ballots missed Election Day deadlines"

The Postal Service ignored a federal judge’s order to sweep processing plants on Tuesday after more than 300,000 scanned ballots could not be traced.

Nearly 7 percent of ballots in U.S. Postal Service sorting facilities on Tuesday were not processed on time for submission to election officials, according to data the agency filed Wednesday in federal court, potentially leaving tens of thousands of ballots caught in the mail system during an especially tight presidential race.

This is the actual "stealing" that Trump enacted by placing a crony in charge of the USPS.

Let me see: Biden 253, Trump 214.

Headline "Trump lawyers seek to halt vote counting in key remaining states"

Uh? You are losing, idiot... Sure, you could keep counting on the "good" states for you. But that's more than a dick move.

Penn down to 390k behind, was close to 700k last night, 460 an hour ago, only 82% counted

this is why

President Trump leads by nearly 700,000 votes in Pennsylvania as of 5 a.m. on Wednesday, and Mr. Biden’s chances depend on whether he can win a large percentage of the more than 1.4 million absentee ballots that remain to be counted.

So far, Mr. Biden has won absentee voters in Pennsylvania, 78 percent to 21 percent, according to the Secretary of State’s office. The results comport with the findings of pre-election surveys and an analysis of absentee ballot requests, which all indicated that Mr. Biden held an overwhelming lead among absentee voters.

If Mr. Biden won the more than 1.4 million absentee votes by such a large margin, he would net around 800,000 votes — enough to overcome his deficit statewide.

umm math...

If biden gets 800,000 votes trump gets 600,000
