In a nutshell, there's more voters in heavily-populated urban counties than rural counties, (duh), even in the nutty American election process called the "electoral college."

CNN: Fact check: Trump, in 2023, tells a new lie about the 2020 election

...Trump’s latest supposed piece of evidence, like his previous supposed pieces of evidence, is complete bunk.

...Trump pointedly noted that Biden got more votes than Trump in fewer than a fifth of US counties in 2020. Trump then said, “Nothing like this has ever happened before. Usually it’s very equal, or – but the winner always had the most counties.”

CASH-STRAPPED FOX FORCED TO SELL KEVIN MCCARTHY

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—Reeling from its punishing settlement agreement with Dominion Voting Systems, the newly cash-strapped Fox News Channel has been forced to sell Representative Kevin McCarthy.

Rupert Murdoch, who acquired the Speaker of the House just two months ago, expressed sadness that new financial realities had necessitated the sale.

“I wish Kevin well,” the Fox owner said. “I hope whoever buys him finds him as useful as I did.”

Even as many in Washington expressed skepticism about the House Speaker’s market value, Murdoch’s plans to sell McCarthy faced a significant roadblock in the form of the Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.

“Fox can't sell Congressman McCarthy,” she told reporters. “I own him.”

Washington Post: Trump can’t stop former vice president Pence from testifying to Jan. 6 grand jury, court rules

Donald Trump cannot block his former vice president from testifying before a grand jury investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.

The ruling helps clear the way for Mike Pence to speak under oath about the pressure Trump put him under to declare the 2020 election results invalid. While Trump could seek to further forestall that testimony by appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court, other people in the president’s orbit have testified after similar losing battles in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

The reasoning behind Wednesday’s order remains under seal; the decision was issued by a panel that included two Obama appointees and one Trump appointee.

Pence initially fought the subpoena himself, arguing that he was taking part in a congressional proceeding on Jan. 6 and therefore covered by protections for lawmakers. But when Chief U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg in D.C. ruled that the “speech or debate” clause would not cover illegal acts by the president, Pence agreed to testify.

Too true. But he won't, of course. Personally, I hope he keeps up the crazy rants. Interestingly, he hasn't actually appeared in the rape trial courtroom, relying instead on his loudmouth lawyer, a strategy that has been described as likely to have a negative impact on jurors. Chances are, once the deleterious effect of his absence becomes more obvious, I think he'll show up in person.

And that should be unmissable theater 😄

Hypothetical testimony

Prosecutor "Trump you said to Billy Bush of 'Access Hollywood'

'I moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married

Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.

Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.'

What did you mean by that?"

Trump: "This is a witch hunt. I love pet dog and cats. The best pet lover ever. But platonic, strictly platonic. I was talking about pets sitting under the trailer that only I could see."

Failing to show up your own trial, and badgering the rape victim, and may make Trump happy, I'd guess the jury won't be happy.

New York Law Journal:

‘Fish or Cut Bait': Judge in Trump Civil Trial Frustrated After Opening Statements

Just hours into author E. Jean Carroll’s defamation and battery trial against former President Donald Trump, the judge appeared to have already lost his patience with Trump’s failure to confirm whether he’ll appear in person.

After jurors left the courtroom, Kaplan asked Trump’s attorney whether his comment during opening statements that Trump has “nothing more … to add” in the case means that he will not testify live.

‘The Ruling Is the Ruling': Judge in Trump Civil Trial Warns Defense Counsel Against ‘Argumentative’ Questions

The judge intervened in the cross-examination of E. Jean Carroll by Trump’s attorney several times on Thursday, warning him against being “argumentative” while Carroll recounted her rape allegation against Trump.

In one exchange, as Tacopina repeatedly asked Carroll about her claim that she did not notice anyone else at the luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman while she and Trump moved through the store, Carroll’s attorneys objected.

Another rant from the Orange Egomaniac ...

Reuters - Trump vows to investigate prosecutors, says Biden represents anarchy

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire, April 27 (Reuters) - Donald Trump said on Thursday that if he wins the 2024 presidential election, he will order the Justice Department to investigate "radical" county and state prosecutors whom he accused, without evidence, of targeting conservatives. ...

"On day one of my new administration, I will direct the DOJ to investigate every radical district attorney and attorney general in America for their illegal, racist enforcement of the law," Trump told more than 1,000 supporters in Manchester, New Hampshire. ...

The call for federal probes of prosecutors fits what critics have described as Trump's increasingly authoritarian rhetoric on the campaign trail.

On Thursday, he repeated plans for a "truth and reconciliation commission" as part of a purge of the federal bureaucracy. ...

Trump on Thursday repeated the false claim that his election loss in 2020 was due to systemic fraud orchestrated by the Democrats.

That's one thing that got drilled into us again and again during legal training (how to present evidence in court), do not piss off the judge. No matter how much cleverererer you are than them and how badly they're confusing the evidence you're presenting/talking about, don't talk down to them and do not piss off the judge. They're usually annoyingly detached, no-nonsense, and insist on sticking to rules and procedures, but if you annoy them sufficiently then they can apply those rules and procedures at you a bit more than to anyone else.

PS: Do not piss off the judge.

I suspect she a strong believer in the second amendment to have guns, but not the opening clause: "A well regulated militia"

NBC News: Donald Trump embraces Jan. 6 defendant who wants Mike Pence executed

Former President Donald Trump embraced a Jan. 6 defendant at a diner during a campaign stop Thursday night, calling the woman, who served prison time for her actions during the Capitol attack and wants former Vice President Mike Pence executed for treason, "terrific."

The appearance came the same day Pence testified before a federal grand jury as part of special counsel Jack Smith's investigation into Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election and keep himself in power.

Micki Larson-Olson, a QAnon supporter who said she considers Trump the "real president," was convicted last year of unlawful entry on Capitol grounds. On Thursday night, she met Trump for the first time at the Red Arrow Diner in Manchester.

On Jan. 6, Larson-Olson climbed the scaffolding set up for Joe Biden's inauguration and held on when police tried to remove her; she later bragged on social media and in an interview that it took six officers to remove her.
...
She said she told officers they were going to have to shoot her to get her off the platform.
...
Larson-Olson said she believes that the members of Congress who voted to certify Biden's presidential election should be executed.
