Hi, re threats to those after him, dim fuk trump needs to be reminded of his bail conditions, much more of this and he is behind bars with no social media till he is next in court.

Clearly he has no idea of the depth of the charges, but I guess his brain is too small to comprehend that.

Independent - Trump strikes threatening tone after arraignment: ‘ IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!’

05 August 2023

Former president Donald Trump lashed out at authorities on Friday afternoon, a day after his arraignment on four charges related to his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

On Thursday, Mr Trump pleaded not guilty to four charges: conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.

During his arraignment on Thursday, Mr Trump was ordered to refrain from discussing the case with any witnesses without the presence of legal counsel. The former president’s bellicose rhetoric could create additional legal headaches for him.

But Mr Trump appeared to display no contrition on Friday afternoon in an all-caps post on Truth Social.

“IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!” the former president said.

The Don appears to have gone full Mafia.  Jack Smith is not amused.  πŸ™„

EDIT

During Thursday's court hearing, Magistrate Judge Moxila A. Upadhyaya issued Trump a warning that is not commonly given to defendants at arraignments.

Finally, sir, I want to remind you that it is a crime to try to influence a juror, or to threaten or attempt to bribe a witness or any other person who may have information about your case, or to retaliate against anyone for providing information about your case to the prosecution, or to otherwise obstruct the administration of justice,” she said.

Trump is a thug and a bully, but his threat is also an indication of the fear he feels. Like a trapped animal, he realises there is no escape and he snarls at his captors in frustrated rage.

For the "law-and-order" party, Republicans certainly lean towards violent threats if they don't get their way.

Imagine if a management job interviewee says "If I get this job, I'm going to start slitting throats day one."

Also conservatives bemoan the "deep state", meaning career government workers. Would you go to a hospital which replaced every medical worker when the hospital CEO is replaced?

Newsweek: Ron DeSantis Vows to Start 'Slitting Throats' on First Day of Presidency

Governor Ron DeSantis has vowed to "start slitting throats on day one" if he is elected president.

The Florida Republican was in New Hampshire on Sunday when he made comments about getting tough on the "deep state"β€”a phrase used by some conservatives to describe a supposed cabal of unelected officials who they claim are secretly steering government policy.

DeSantis is pitching himself as a hardliner as he bids for the 2024 Republican nomination, with polls indicating that he is lagging behind former President Donald Trump among GOP voters.

The NY Times - Jan. 6 Prosecutors Ask for Protective Order, Citing Threatening Trump Post

05 August 2023

The federal prosecutors overseeing the indictment of former President Donald J. Trump on charges of seeking to overturn the 2020 election asked a judge on Friday night to impose a protective order over the discovery evidence in the case, citing a threatening message that Mr. Trump had posted on social media.

By mentioning the incendiary post in an otherwise routine request seeking to keep Mr. Trump from making evidence public, the prosecutors in the office of the special counsel, Jack Smith, were drawing the attention of the judge, Tanya S. Chutkan, to Mr. Trump’s longstanding habit of attacking those involved in criminal cases against him.

The exchange of words began on Friday evening when Mr. Trump posted a message on Truth Social, his social media platform, issuing a vague but strongly worded threat.

“IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!” he wrote.

Shortly after, in a standard move early in a criminal prosecution, the government filed its request for a protective order in the case.

Prosecutors noted that protections over discovery were “particularly important” in this instance because Mr. Trump “has previously issued public statements on social media regarding witnesses, judges, attorneys and others associated with legal matters pending against him.”

EDIT:   On Friday, Trump’s campaign posted a 60-second ad on X / Twitter, describing the prosecutors who have brought cases against Trump as the “fraud squad” acting on behalf of President Biden.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

[The author is a homeland security expert with over 30 years of experience.]

As a former intelligence chief, I believe the indictment of Trump for his conduct in the runup to and on Jan. 6 is crucial to maintaining the long-term security of our nation and the foundations of our democratic society. ...

Trump’s willingness to fan the worst flames of discord and division is why, in my assessment, he is currently the greatest threat to our nation. ...

Trump is not a single person. He has become an ideology, one that tens of millions of Americans embrace; many are willing to commit acts of violence, go to prison, forfeit their marriages and relationships, and even die for it.

The rhetoric Trump posts on social media is only preaching to his committed acolytes. It's intended to energize his base and I don't imagine even he thinks he thinks it gains him any more widespread support. It's the same for all the GOP candidates. They are not targeting a wider audience as there is no point until you make it past the primaries.

As for De Santis it's only a matter of time before he starts referring to gas ovens.

This crap is great for the MAGA/a large portion of the Republican base. But in the general election? Most independents and Democrats think Trump did something wrong and should be punished for it, plus there's no way in a million years they would vote for him, especially after January 6.

I read an article that said this was one of his failings in 2020 - he didn't do anything at all to try and reach out past his MAGA base or expand his appeal beyond them; therefore Democrats and most independents were put off him and didn't give him their vote, so he lost.

Even De Santis thinks Trump needs to tone things down a bit: https://edition.cnn.com/2023/08/05/politics/desantis-trump-2020-election-theories/index.html

That Mike Huckabee-Trump kids "truth" bs? Whitewashing at its best. I'd be embarrassed to give that to any kids I know, as it depicts Trump as some sort of saint - which is clearly not the case.

As to Huckabee, he's just another washed-up former politician seeking relevance. Pathetic.
