Anyhow in 2008 then-President George W. Bush nominated Lee for the National Council on the Arts, and the Senate confirmed his appointment.
These are not permanent appointments, and his expired in 2021.
As several appointments expire. Biden nominated someone to replace Lee, along with replacing six Obama nominees.
