Here's a wierd question I haven't seen asked or answered:

If Trump went to prison for the many things he's allegedly done, would his Secret Service guards go with him?
Would he be stripped of protection as a former president to become just another prisoner in the federal system?

Imagine being a Secret Service agent assigned to the Orange Jumpsuit and spending your shifts in a State Penitentiary.

Maybe he can have the same Guards as Bernie Madoff ?

Even have the same cell...

Or his mate Epstein's cell...

Looks like it's begun!

"The New York attorney general’s office has filed judgments in Westchester County, the first indication that the state is preparing to try to seize Donald Trump’s golf course and private estate north of Manhattan, known as Seven Springs."

I would have preferred NY seizing Trump Tower. I guess that's soon.

His NY golf course was already renamed 2 months ago, so that takes away a little of the sting for Trump. Too bad.

I'm guessing he'd have preferred his New Jersey golf course go on the block; that's where he coldly buried his wife to get a tax break. But that's in another state.

Some history on Silver Springs

Forbes - 9 years ago: Inside Seven Springs, The Lavish Mansion Where The Trumps Spent Summers

When Donald Trump purchased the opulent Westchester mansion known as Seven Springs two decades ago, he had big plans to turn it into a luxury golf course. Two decades later, no greens have been built; the estate has become a lavish, yet isolated, family retreat.

Trump bought the 230-acre property, which straddles three Westchester towns, in 1996 for the $7.5 million. He spent nine years trying to get approval to develop a world-class, 18-hole golf course, a plan vigorously protested by the residents of the surrounding towns (Bedford, New Castle, and North Castle) over concerns it would draw excessive traffic and pollute adjacent Byram Lake, which provides drinking water to nearby Mount Kisco. Ultimately, Trump gave up on the golf course. Last year, after a long battle with residents and the towns, he finally received approval to subdivide the property and build up to 14 homes.

Whether that will actually ever happen is unclear.

But the property remains a significant place for the family, said Eric Trump on a recent tour of the 50,000-square-foot palatial home--the first the family has ever granted--because it is the place where the kids spent summers and weekends, where Eric Trump proposed, and where The Donald taught his little Trumps construction.

Its interesting that Jared got $2B from Saudis, plus the wealth he had and managed before that

Plus Trump many extended family members that have their own wealth.
None are able to put up anything or share a part as guarantor on a loan to help Donald?

He had a small number of Billionaire friends, well many said they were friends.
Well when they could get something out of him, and contacts at his golf clubs etc.

Trump's problem is they may all want absolute security over his properties at fire sale value.
Not inflated value, and value after any loans or other security over them.
That may be very complicated to arrange.

It's probably more than 50/50 that Trump will file a bond seconds before the due.
The whole 'I can't raise it' thing may just be going for more hearings and delay, delay, delay.

I thought that too, but maybe Trump would perceive the optics of running to his son-in-law for a loan or even just to help him out as being "weak", especially for a self-declared so-called "billionaire" who you would think should be able to take care of this all on his own.

American comedian Joy Behar worried about the risks posed by a financially-desperate Trump.

“I mentioned Saudi Arabia and Russia, they have motivation to give him money because then they will own him”

"NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump's new joint fundraising agreement with the Republican National Committee directs donations to his campaign and a political action committee that pays the former president's legal bills before the RNC gets a cut, according to a fundraising invitation obtained by The Associated Press."

It always takes two to cheat. I wonder what kind of people have so much money and let themselves be cheated so easily?

The Guardian - Trump pleads with supporters for cash to help pay soaring legal bills

21 March 2024

Donald Trump on Thursday again asked loyal supporters for cash to help him meet mounting legal expenses and keep the “filthy hands” of the New York attorney general off Trump Tower and other properties.

Under the headline “Keep your filthy hands off Trump Tower!” a Trump fundraising email sent to supporters reads:

“Insane radical Democrat AG Letitia James wants to SEIZE my properties in New York. This includes the iconic Trump Tower.”

Democrats think that this will intimidate me. They think that if they take my cash to stifle my campaign, that I’ll GIVE UP!"

But worst of all? They think that YOU will abandon me, and that you will GIVE UP on our country. Here’s one thing they don’t know: WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER!”

Before the day is over, I’m calling on ONE MILLION Pro-Trump patriots to chip in and say: STOP THE WITCH HUNT AGAINST PRESIDENT TRUMP!

Panic Mode?   🙄

He would have to get a lot of money from his supporters to cover even a portion of the amount he's on the hook for.

Hell, even if a million donated $10 it wouldn't even cover 1%!

Would love to see what he would do if most of his supporters did actually abandon him 😀

Have a look at what some of the sorts within the US who are some of the richest and support him are saying. Business for them is easier under trump.

Trump is just targeting voters of the extreme far right, which some political analysts believe they are aligned with the extreme far right of certain rogue states. Robet De Niro said he is stumped why the south and co are so supportive, but its all pretty obvious. I dont think explaining facts to such people will change their minds. Better Biden concentrates on the moderate right, whom many have said anybody but Trump. ie the mnbc poll showing 11% of Ohio (very right) republicans will vote for Biden in November.

I think he will get the cash, he has so many allies where $500m is nothing, prob already does, but he will be petty and slam it down with seconds to go.

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/03/22/business/trump-truth-social-dwac-shares/index.html >> this might look like it's going to solve all his cash woes, but it's not as easy as it sounds.

Also: Not only that, but Truth Social appears to be shrinking.

The number of Truth Social’s US monthly active users on iOS and Android is down 39% year-over-year, according to Similarweb data shared with CNN earlier this month. Truth Social remains much smaller than X (formerly Twitter), which is also shrinking but at a slower pace.

I thought it was hugely popular with conservatives all over the show and they were flocking to it? Or maybe that was just the marketing pitch for it.

I think if that was the case they would have stumped up the cash already before it got to this stage, yet (so far) no one is putting up their hand to help him. One way to look at it; turn the situation around and imagine that they wanted money off Trump? He would die in a ditch before they saw any of his money.

The NY Times -  Jimmy Kimmel Suggests Trump Take a Sip of His Own Medicine

21 March 2024

“A president could make some seriously crazy stuff happen. If you’re dumb and arrogant, you commit the crimes yourself on television, then you have a problem. Then you have to beg the Supreme Court for something preposterous, like immunity. But if Donald Trump wants immunity, he should drink bleach like he told us to do when we wanted immunity.” - JIMMY KIMMEL

“Turns out the guy who bragged to Billy Bush he can do whatever he wants thinks he should be allowed to do whatever he wants.” - JIMMY KIMMEL
