This is an interesting article on How Kompromat Works. Basically the FSB goes around collecting material from anyone, everyone even if not relevant at the time. Later on if the situation requires some "accommodation" then the material is released.

Not unlike blackmail but it doesn't necessarily starts with a plan. It's more of an insurance policy.

I should imagine Facebook et al will provide them with a goldmine of handy photos and posts that Mr X did when he was a dumb 18 year old and now he wants to be President/Prime Minister/Director etc at age 50 we can just whip them out and dissuade him by mentioning that questionable College date "consent" issue... or whatever.

Just noting that Trump is an old man (70) and much of his exposed depravity was carried out when he was well into adulthood.
Not adolescent hi-jinx.

He's been a dirty old man for decades.

Remember he has told all ambassadors to leave their posts before inauguration. This is quite unusual not to have some carryover until new ones have been appointed.

Spite is part of Trump's MO.

I expect there'll be some nervous politicians in NZ, Tillerson seems to want to negotiate with China with an iron fist - it seems to me to be inevitable that NZ would be put under pressure to show support.  It could become an election issue in NZ this year.  I guess we'll get an inkling of what's up when the Trump administration appoints a new ambassador to NZ.

It's not like the USA is a broken, failed country that needs immediate reforms to kickstart. What he's doing is radical in a way that's only seen in places with no hope of things working.

Even Obama kept some secretaries from the previous administration.

Oh - America did have some serious issues, wealth disparity, nepotism in politics, corrupt politicians on the payroll of lobbyists etc.

So glad Trump's going to fix it all.

The GOP controls the house, the Senate and the Whitehouse, he doesn't need anything from the DNC.

Thank God for that!  ...Oh, and God bless Donald Trump

It's Weet-Bix, and Trump's not into "fixing".  "Stitching up" is more his style.

Trump can't be President in 2020.. Kayne has already said he's running and we know he'll win over Trump.

You think the Invisible Man in the Sky is a Trump supporter?

Hell, I'd prefer any of those Kardashian bimbos over Trumpy.
