Trump held a "town hall" in Michigan.

An auto worker asked him this question:

"What do you see as the major threats to the future of Michigan manufacturing autoworking jobs? And what will you do to eliminate those threats, sir?"

Trump:

"OK, so I’ll get into another little bit of a long answer, because when you say major threat to me, we have one really major threat that’s called nuclear weapons.

We call it. We have other countries that are hostile to us. They don’t have to be hostile to us.

I always say if you have a smart president, you’ll never have a problem with China, Russia or any of them, OK

I got along great with Putin. I got along great with President Xi. I got along great with Kim Jong Un of North Korea. Everybody said, oh, you can’t get along with them.

He liked me. I got along great with him. And he has a lot of nuclear force.

But you essentially have five countries and you’re going to have more whether you like it or not. You’re going to have more.

It’s a single biggest threat to the world, not only Michigan, to the world. And you’re not going to care so much about making cars if that stuff starts happening. And we have people that are not good at negotiation.

The war should have never happened.

President Biden, I want to be nice. He was so nice to me yesterday. But, you know, in one way, I sort of wish the call wasn’t made because I do feel he’s so, so nice. I’m so sorry about what happened and all that. But I have to lay it out. We have very important the same with Kamala today. She could not have been nicer. But the fact is, the fact is we have to have people that are respected by the opponent to buy the other side, buy other countries that have this.

Even Pakistan has nuclear war. "

Generation Alpha headline: "Basic boomer cringe: 78 year old dad tries to show he's fire to his third wife's 18 year old spawn"

bloomberg: Donald Trump Walks Into a (Bitcoin) Bar

The Art of the Burger Buy

To most people in New York City, it was just a normal Wednesday afternoon. But for those gathered at a Bitcoin-themed bar in Greenwich Village, it was a moment worthy of the history books when Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made his entrance.

Trump visited PubKey near New York University, where his youngest son Barron is studying, with one simple goal: buy a few dozen smash burgers and pay the tab with the original cryptocurrency.

However, what should have been a straightforward transaction turned into a nearly one-minute ordeal. As Trump struggled to scan the bar’s payment QR code, someone next to him ultimately grabbed his phone and completed the transaction, as captured in a Fox News livestream.

MSNBC: Why the American people should pay attention to Trump's crypto business

...involved in the Trumps’ venture is Chase Herro. As reported by Bloomberg’s Zeke Faux, Herro is a self-described “dirtbag” whose business ventures include weed, weight loss colon cleanse and get-rich-quick courses. In 2018, Herro summed up the crypto business by remarking, “You can literally sell s––– in a can, wrapped in p–––, covered in human skin, for a billion dollars if the story’s right, because people will buy it.”

That’s the type of person our potential next president is getting into business with.

If Trump wins in November, he would be in a position to choose the SEC chair, a person who has enormous responsibility for regulating the cryptocurrency industry. That’s a massive conflict of interest. If the president of the United States can stand to make a fortune if a business has little to no regulation, the American people must pay attention.

Funny, Trump said he's not going to sell his stock, but it seems lots of investors don't trust him. It's like they're worried about being scammed, or being thrown under the bus. 🤔

The Independent: Trump Media closes at 52-week low as investors wait to see if he’ll sell stock

Trump Media shares fell to a 52-week low on Friday, a day after former President Donald Trump, the majority shareholder, was allowed to start selling his stocks in the company.

Other early investors had also been prevented from selling their shares because of the “lockup” restrictions imposed on them.

Trump media, which trades under the ticker “DJT,” closed down 7.82 percent on Friday, reaching $13.55 per share, according to CNBC.

There was a heavier-than-average trading volume on Friday
...
Trump saying during a press conference in California on September 13 that he has “absolutely no intention of selling” prompted the stock to rise 25 percent before closing more than 11 percent up – a rise that was obliterated this week as DJT saw a downturn.

Trump Media closed at the lowest level it has seen since entering the Nasdaq in March – down over 20 percent from the start of the week. It’s down more than 65 percent since it’s July high after Trump was the subject of a failed assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Newsweek: Trump appointed judge Aileen Cannon dealt double blow in two weeks

South Florida district judge Aileen Cannon faced two blows within two weeks as Republicans and Citizens for Ethics and Responsibility in Washington (CREW) called for her removal from the classified documents case and a new report alleges she failed to disclose her attendance at paid seminars on three occasions.

Cannon received heavy backlash recently after some Republicans alleged that she mishandled former President Donald Trump's classified documents case and urged a Florida appeals court to remove her from the case, as Newsweek previously reported.

The district judge appointed by Trump in 2020 presided over Trump's lawsuit to review the materials seized from Mar-a-Lago in 2022, as well as the criminal case regarding the classified documents following his indictment in 2023.

Cannon's calls for removal stemmed from her overseeing a federal criminal case against Trump in 2023, in which the former president faces 40 charges for allegedly mishandling sensitive materials after he left the White House in 2021, storing them at Mar-a-Lago. Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him, calling it a "political witchhunt."

The district judge dismissed the case in July, ruling that Special Counsel Jack Smith's appointment was unconstitutional.

In the amicus brief filed by Republicans requesting Cannon's removal from the classified documents case in support of Smith, they alleged the judge made "grave errors" and urged the court to appeal its decision.

The brief includes ex-government officials, law professors, and pro-democracy groups. It comes as part of the ethics watchdog CREW's request for Cannon's removal in a statement released on September 3. The watchdog said Cannon should be reassigned in the federal classified documents case against Trump if the Circuit Court of Appeals reverses and remands her decision.

The organization alleged that Cannon's actions in the case favored Trump, including her decision to grant Trump's request for a special master to review the documents under executive privilege, her call for jury instructions favorable to Trump, and her ultimate dismissal of the case.

"She has at every stage made this case more difficult than the law mandated, and she then dismissed it on largely unprecedented grounds, delivering a significant win to Trump. Should the Court reverse her decision, it must also ensure that the case is reassigned to allow it to proceed fairly and expeditiously and to help restore the credibility of the federal court system."

A report by ProPublica published on Tuesday alleged that Cannon broke a 2006 rule stating that judges must report attending paid seminars that could influence decisions and disclose attendance for such events through forms within 30 days of the event.
