I would never enter into any kind of contract with Trump and hopefully the negotiators are also clever.

He only sticks to it for so long and insists on fulfilment if it benefits him. Conversely, you've pulled the big A card.

Well, well. The orange buffoon is telling Elon he has no authority to fire people. The latter has indicated he's on board with this (for now), but how much longer will this carry on for?

Reuters - Trump to revoke legal status for 240,000 Ukrainians as US steps up deportations

breaking

WASHINGTON, March 6 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is planning to revoke temporary legal status for some 240,000 Ukrainians who fled the conflict with Russia, a senior Trump official and three sources familiar with the matter said, potentially putting them on a fast-track to deportation.

The move, expected as soon as April, would be a stunning reversal of the welcome Ukrainians received under President Joe Biden's administration.

The planned rollback of protections for Ukrainians was underway before Trump publicly feuded with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy last week.

It is part of a broader Trump administration effort to strip legal status from more than 1.8 million migrants allowed to enter the U.S. under temporary humanitarian parole programs launched under the Biden administration ...

In addition to the 240,000 Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion, and the 530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans, these programs covered more than 70,000 Afghans escaping the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.

Nasty, nasty man  😠

And Trump talking about eating omelets made from American Bald Eagle eggs for Putin's approval...

You'll note that a number of department heads told their employees not to reply to Musk's “What did you do last week?” email, “I am informing you that the email is valid,” the VA’s new chief of staff said it was OK.

He added, “In responding to the email, please do not send any classified, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), or personally identifiable information, links or attachments.”

Trump administration plans 15 percent cut to VA workforce: Washington Post

The Department of Veterans Affairs announced plans Wednesday to cut roughly 80,000 jobs, more than 15 percent of its employees, the latest in President Donald Trump’s effort to slash the federal workforce.

According to a memo obtained by The Washington Post, the cuts are meant to reduce the department’s workforce to just under 400,000 employees, its size in 2019. Christopher D. Syrek, appointed by Donald Trump, VA’s chief of staff who signed the memo, wrote that the department will work with the Elon Musk-led U.S. DOGE Service and “move out aggressively, while taking a pragmatic and disciplined approach” to identifying inefficiencies.
...
Veterans Affairs Secretary Douglas A. Collins said ... “We’ll be making major changes, so get used to it now.”
...
“President Trump refuses to accept the VA bureaucracy and bloat that has hindered Veterans’ ability to receive timely and quality care,” a White House spokeswoman, Anna Kelly, said in a statement. “By making the VA workforce more efficient, President Trump and Secretary Collins will ensure greater efficiency and transparency for our nation’s heroes while preserving the benefits they earned.”

VA is among the largest employers of federal workers, with most employed operating its network of hospitals around the country

I want to see how this bolt gets them out of the nest and, above all, whether he can manage an omelette at all. 😈

Perhaps he should get along better with the Canada goose to get the eggs together for an omelette.

Nice sideways swipe at Musk: "a buffoon on ketamine tasked with purging the civil service."

But he stopped short of " I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal food trough wiper! I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"

I wouldn't call him a buffoon, that's Trump.  Musk is more akin to a ten-year-old boy that no-one has ever said no to.

And I don't mean that as random name-calling, I mean that the best way to understand how he works is to picture a spoiled ten-year-old who thinks his antics are both clever and witty, and eminently sensible.

A liberal pollster finds just 10 percent of voters think Democrats have a good plan for opposing the president.

So 90% of Democrat supporters think their party can't even manage to outdo a buffoon with a wrecking ball.

yep, that’s because they can’t promise (lie to) the upper millionaires and billionaires and give anything. Since the Obama era the backbone of the Democratic Party has scoliosed to near breaking point.

I would say that Democrat supporters are realistic unlike Trumps Jan6th army.
With GOP having such power in many states, and legislature, a raft of Trump Judges including Supremes.
Oh and Trump now has power to appoint and advance many more right thinking Judges.

GOP has House and Senate, if Trump and Vance had an accident, then its  Mike Johnson !
GOP absolute subservience and loyalty to Trump is such that Democrats can't work a compromise.

Only thing they can do is prepare electorate who don't turn out to vote for midterms anyway.
Midterm turnout is terrible.

Electorate is so bone headed, likely to blame Democrats for not doing anything and staying home.
Elon, Thiel's, Murdock's money will certainly be pushing voter suppression hard.

Democrats have found that Billionaires can't resist a fully transactional 'pay to play'.

Everyone around Trump is transactional, you can't shame, or scare them with protests, or harsh words.
They will never need to see them from their gated communities and private resorts.

As much as Bernie critiques Democrats for inaction, he pretty much is reduced to 'shouting at clouds'.

Turbulent, dangerous times and everything on alert. And indeed, we Europeans have no more time to lose. No American friend is better than a false friend. They have enough to do with themselves for a longer time.

No, they still have not got the message. They need to oppose absolutely everything no matter how trivial. Oppose tyranny, put sand in the gears.

None should have shown up to Trump's speech. Hit him where it hurts, crowd size. Show him speaking to an half empty hall. Sour-puss frowns, dressing in pink and holding stupid little "oo I don't agree" signs was pathetic.

Only one person should have shown up, that would have been Elisa Slotkin for the response, but she should have said what Jasmine Crockett said. At least it would have got reported.

Trump is well on track to completely dismantle the US government in only a couple of months and wipe his arse with the constitution.

Who says there will be any meaningful midterms?
